GIRLS TRACK: Taylor, Aggies top host Diamondbacks

Aelicia Taylor won the 100-meter dash and ran on two winning relays Tuesday to lead Arbor View’s girls track team to an 80-57 victory over host Desert Oasis.

Taylor won the 100 in 13.51 seconds and ran on the winning 400 and 800 relay teams. She also placed second in the 100.

Desert Oasis’ Brooke Locey and Tawny Rodriguez each won two individual events.

Locey was first in the 800 (2:34.83) and 1,600 (5:33.39), and Rodriguez won the shot put (37 feet, 10½ inches) and discus (117-11).

Mustangs top Trailblazers

At Shadow Ridge, Serena Garcia won the 1,600 in 5:54.3 and ran on the winning 3,200 relay team to help the Mustangs to an 89-47 win over Durango.

Garcia also placed second in the 800.

Kiyant Tolbert won the 400 (1:02.8) and ran on the winning 1,600 relay team, and teammate Camryn Grant won the 300 hurdles (50.1) and ran on the 1,600 relay team for Shadow Ridge.
