Centennial’s Roy Session and Faith Lutheran’s Dan Kober were named the Nevada High School Coaches of the Year by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.

Salazar hopes to become latest girls state discus champion at Silverado

Silverado senior Monet Salazar is the top seed in the discus for the Division I girls state track and field meet. She won the Sunrise Region meet with a throw of 131-0. She also won the shot put at the region meet with a mark of 35-9¼ and is the No. 5 qualifier for state.
