ROUNDUP: Allen jumpstarts Chaparral girls to victory over Jaguars

Jaeda Allen finished first in the high jump (4 feet, 6 inches), the long jump (13-4½ inches) and the triple jump (28-0) Thursday to pace the Chaparral girls track team to a 86-51 victory over host Desert Pines.

Linda Luchsinger grabbed the top spot in the 800-meter run with a time of 2 minutes, 47.7 seconds for the Cowboys.   

Raynette Hines claimed first in both the 100 (12.4) and 200 (27.4) for the Jaguars.

Floyd, Black lead Crusaders
At Clark, Bobbi Floyd and Marisa Black each won two events as the Chargers won a three-team meet.

Floyd was first in the 100 (13.0) and 200 (26.1), and Black won the 100 hurdles (18.4) and 300 hurdles (56.0) for Clark, which had 98 points.

Cheyenne had 37 and Indian Springs scored 5.

Tobler, Eagles win
At Overton, Jessica Tobler won the 1,600 (5:52.14) and 3,200 (12:42.35) as Boulder City (101) topped Moapa Valley (55), Lincoln County (19) and Pahranagat Valley (7).

Moapa Valley’s Shelbie Gray won the shot put (33-8) and discus (97-9).

Crusaders win tri-meet
At Western, Faith Lutheran won 10 of 13 events to capture a three-team meet.

The Crusaders finished with 82 points to beat Western (25) and Word of Life (7).
