ROUNDUP: Barlow wins three events as Eagle girls sprint past Jaguars

Whitney Barlow won three events Tuesday to help Boulder City’s girls track team to a 77-51 win over visiting Desert Pines.

Barlow won the 100 hurdles in 18.2 seconds, the 300 hurdles in 50.2 second and the shot put  with an effort of 32 feet, 1 inch. Teammate Jessica Tobler finished first in the 800 (2:46.2) and 3200 (13.11). 

Jessica Jacocks grabbed first in the 200 (28.2) and 400 (1:04.5) for the Jaguars.

Faith Lutheran tops Clark, Agassi
At Clark, Macy Helm and Cayla Nikodemus each won twice to lead Faith Lutheran to victory in a three-team meet.

Helm won the 110 hurdles (16.5) and 300 hurdles (51.1), and Nikodemus took the high jump (4-8) and long jump (15-5) for the Crusaders, who had 99 points.

Clark had 51 and Agassi Prep 18.

Granados, Gross, Thompson lead Hornets to win
At Overton, Ashley Granados, Christina Thompson and Melynda Gross each won two individual events to lead Beatty to victory with 108 points.

Virgin Valley was second with 83, followed by Moapa Valley (80), Lincoln County (59) and Pahranagat Valley (10).

Granados won the 800 (2:57.55) and 1,600 (6:19.81). Gross was first in the 100 hurdles (19.03) and high jump (5-1), and Thompson won the long jump (14-2) and triple jump (29-9½).

Moapa Valley’s Summer Evans won the 200 (29.04) and 300 hurdles (51.64).

Rattlers down Warriors
At Western, Kationa Baughman, Tamara Frezzell and Dennisha Atkins each won twice to lead Mojave to an 80½-35½ win over the Warriors.

Baughman won the 100 hurdles (17.5) and 300 hurdles (49.4), Frezzell took the 800 (2:34.6) and 1,600 (6:02.1) and Atkins won the 200 (27.2) and high jump (4-6).

Western’s Capricia Pierce was first in the 100 (13.0) and 400 (1:07.1).
