ROUNDUP: Bland, Davis lead Chargers to victory

Johnice Bland and Stephanie Davis won two events each to lead Clark's girls track and field team to victory at Bonanza on Tuesday.

Bland won the 100-meter dash in 13.2 seconds and the 400 in 1:08.5, while Davis took the 100 hurdles in 19.1 and the 200 in 28.4.

Clark won with 85 points, followed by Bishop Gorman (81), Bonanza (68) and Indian Springs (17).

Bishop Gorman's Clare Finley won the 1,600 in 5:34.4 and the 3,200 in 12:42.

Palo Verde rolls to victory
At Cimarron-Memorial, Nicole Ameli and Ashlie Blake won two events each to lead Palo Verde to a 96-22 victory over the host Spartans.

Ameli won the long jump (15-3½) and triple jump (30-11), while Blake took the shot put (41-3½) and discus (119-4).

Palo Verde’s Katie Gorczyca finished first in the 3,200 in 11:37.8.

Trio leads Gators to victory
At Liberty, Alyssa Rapovy, Courtney Thomas and Kirsten Pinkelman won two events apiece to lead

Green Valley to 95 points and a victory over Liberty (47) and Boulder City (21).
Rapovy took the 1,600 in 5:46.7 and the 3,200 in 12:30.7.

Thomas won the 200 in 28.6 seconds and the long jump with a leap of 16-6.

Pinkelman was first in the shot put at 32-11 and the discus at 95-7.

Liberty’s Jazzlyn Wilkins won the 100 hurdles and 300 hurdles.

Spring Valley tops Desert Oasis, Trinity
At Desert Oasis, Spring Valley won 10 events on its way to 99 points and a victory over Desert Oasis (71) and Trinity (8).

Faith Lutheran beats Mojave, Virgin Valley
At Faith Lutheran, Krystal Onyema, Rene Vogel and Macy Helm each won two events to lead the Crusaders to a tri-meet victory with 97 points.

Virgin Valley (46) was second and Mojave (42) third.

Onyema was first in the long jump (16-11½) and shot put (39-0½), Helm won the 100 hurdles (17.3) and 300 hurdles (50.4), and Vogel was first in the high jump (5-2) and pole vault (10-0).

Vikings roll past Desert Pines
At Desert Pines, Krystal Wharton and Nyasia Hightower each won two events to help Valley to a 117-28 victory over the Jaguars.

Wharton was first in teh 100 (12.7) and long jump (16-6). Hightower won the shot put (25-5) and discus (80-4)
