ROUNDUP: Cougar girls use depth to top Dragons, Wolves

Coronado’s girls track team placed first in 12 events Wednesday and pick up a victory in a tri-meet at Basic.

The Cougars finished with 116½ points to top Del Sol (37) and Basic (28½).

Del Sol’s Angela Johnson took the 100 hurdles (18.04) and 300 hurdles (53.4).

Sierra Vista tops Durango
At Durango, Sierra Vista won 11 events on its way to a 94-51 victory over the host Trailblazers.

Durango’s Tiarra Beville won the high jump (5 feet) and long jump (16-3¼).

Pahrump routs Western
At Western, Regan Van Engen won three events to lift Pahrump Valley to a 113-8 victory at Western.

Van Engen was first in the high jump at 4-6, the long jump at 16-0¼ and the triple jump at 32-7.
