ROUNDUP: Johnson wins three events as Coronado girls beat Falcons

Ashley Johnson won three individual events Wednesday to help Coronado’s girls track team roll to a 122½-23½ win over host Foothill.

Johnson won the 100-meter dash in 12.8 seconds, took the 100 hurdles in 15.8 and the 300 hurdles in 49.6.

Sara Dort, Logan Lucas and Ali Hauck each took two events for the Cougars.

Dort won the 400 (1:04.7) and the 800 (2:22.8). Lucas swept the distance events, taking the 1,600 in 5:35 and the 3,200 in 12:37.5. Hauck captured the high jump with an effort of 4 feet, 10 inches and the triple jump, covering 32-2½.

Eagles down Miners
At Boulder City, the Eagles had six athletes win one individual event and took three of the four relays on their way to an 86-58  win over the Miners.

Sunrise Mountain’s Azia McBrown won the 100 hurdles in 17.7 and the 300 hurdles in 50.1, and teammate Ebonique Diaz took the 800 (2:27.1) and the 1,600 (5:25.7).

Allen, Cowboys earn home win
At Chaparral, Jaeda Allen was first four events to help the Cowboys to a 109-27 victory over Virgin Valley.

Allen won the 200 (29.0), long jump (14-10) and triple jump (31-7), and tied for first in the high jump (4-10) for Chaparral.

Chaparral’s Unique Wilson won the 100 hurdles (21.18) and 300 hurdles (36.5), Michelle Carrillo-Helebrandt won the shot put (32-2) and discus (84-0), and Taylor Bryant was first in the pole vault (8-6) and tied Allen for first in the high jump.

Klem, Trojans roll
At Pahrump, Kaitlin Klem won four events as Pahrump Valley won a three-team meet.

Klem was first in the 100 (12.6), 200 (26.5), long jump (16-10) and triple jump (32-11).

Pahrump finished with 123 points, beating Clark (50) and Beatty (30).

Amanda Head won the shot put (36-5) and discus (98-11) for the Trojans, and teammate Naomi Argabright won the 100 hurdles (17.6) and 300 hurdles (49.9).

Cheyenne tops Warriors
At Cheyenne, the Desert Shields swept the three contested relays on their way to a 54-29 win over Western.

Western’s Ashli Arias won the discus (51-2) and shot put (26-6).

Helm, Nikodemus help Faith Lutheran
At Faith Lutheran, Macy Helm won both hurdles, and Cayla Nikodemas took the high jump and long jump to help the Crusaders win a three-team meet.

Faith Lutheran had 102 points to beat Mojave (63) and Indian Springs (4).

Helm took the 100 hurdles in 17.21 and the 300 hurdles in 51.83. Nikodemus cleared 4-10 in the high jump, and won the long jump with a mark of 16-7.

Mojave’s Kationa Baughman was first in the 200 (29.66) and 400 (1:06.69).
