ROUNDUP: Suarez’s three wins help Foothill girls edge Basic

Allie Suarez won three events Tuesday to help Foothill’s girls track team edge visiting Basic, 74-72.
Suarez took the 300-meter hurdles (50.3 seconds), long jump (13 feet, 8 inches) and triple jump (30-0½).
Basic’s Kamisha Richardson won the 100 (12.5) and 200 (27.0), and teammate Mi Thomas took the shot put (34-8) and discus (113-2).

Pahrump Valley dominates Bonanza
At Pahrump, the host Trojans won all but two events on the way to a 128-30 victory over Bonanza.

Pahrump Valley’s Ashley Lindgren won the 800 (2:26.2) and 1,600 (5:30.5), Taylor McJunkin took the 400 (1:03.5) and long jump (14-5½) and Megan Hamrick captured the shot put (33-10¼) and discus (79-9).

Coronado tops Del Sol
At Coronado, Lauren Lucas, Brooke Ruppert and Jessica Smith won two events apiece as the Cougars rolled past Del Sol, 110-35.

Lucas won the 800 (2:35.2) and 1,600 (5:35.5), Ruppert won the 100 (13.2) and 200 (27.5), and Smith was first in the shot put (28-9) and discus (93-7).
