Top athletes: Ebonique Diaz (Jr.), Brittany Veal (Jr.), Rochell Daniels (Jr.)

Outlook: Diaz, who placed third in the state cross country meet, leads a team that is down in numbers.

"We have a few quality sprinters, hurdlers and an exceptional middle distance runner in Ebonique Diaz, who can win any even from 400 to 3200," Edwards said. "We have added a few throwers who will make a difference.

"We're hoping for a top-three finish at state."
