Bradley, Arbor View boys hold off Mountain Lions

Darien Bradley had 17 kills, three digs and three blocks Tuesday to help Arbor View’s boys volleyball team outlast visiting Sierra Vista 25-22, 25-15, 18-25, 15-25, 15-12 in the Northwest League opener for both teams.
Kaneen Manuel added five kills and eight blocks for the Aggies.
Julius Sison had 27 digs and two aces, and Clyde Balagtas supplied seven kills, seven digs and two aces for the Mountain Lions, who got 22 assists from Tylor Sullivan.
Mojave 3, Sunrise Mountain 0 — At Sunrise Mountain, Jovan Carrazco registered 18 kills to power the Rattlers to a 25-9, 25-21, 25-13 sweep over the Miners.
Matt Albinio and Darryl Miller-Green each recorded eight kills and four digs for Mojave.
Ricco Lucas paced Sunrise Mountain with nine assists and three blocks, and teammate Javier Castillo added six digs.
Palo Verde 3, Durango 0 — At Durango, Mitchell Tingey put down 10 kills, and Andrew Weston totaled 37 assists and nine digs as the Panthers swept the Trailblazers 25-18, 25-12, 25-18 in a Northwest League match.
Rontraye Rainey led Durango with six kills and six blocks. Michael Diggins added four kills and four blocks, and Frank Patricio chipped in with three kills and six digs for the Trailblazers.
Shadow Ridge 3, Spring Valley 0 — At Spring Valley, A.J. Makaiwi had 20 digs to propel the Mustangs to a 25-14, 25-13, 25-11 sweep of the Grizzlies in a Northwest League match.
Quinn Peterson added seven blocks and eight kills for Shadow Ridge.
Wayne Luk contributed five digs for Spring Valley, and teammate James Nunez had 11 assists.
Silverado 3, Canyon Springs 0 — At Canyon Springs, Curtis Hadland notched nine kills and six aces, and Austin Hunt added seven kills to lead the Skyhawks to a 25-17, 25-19, 25-19 sweep of the Pioneers in a Northeast League match.
Tyler Cross contributed three kills for Silverado.
Carl Esteban dished out 12 assists, and Immanuel Tufuga and Burnadino Faulafo each finished with four kills for Canyon Springs.
Las Vegas 3, Green Valley 0 — At Green Vallley, T.J. Esporsa registered 11 digs and nine kills as the Wildcats swept the Gators 25-20, 25-6, 25-19 in a Northeast League match.
Chris Kamphshoff had eight kills and eight digs for Las Vegas, and teammate Evany Diaz added 17 assists and nine digs.
Jack Johnson recored nine kills and two digs for Green Valley, and Arvin Nitollama had 12 assists and four digs.
Valley 3, Rancho 0 — At Rancho, Matt Ballaro had 12 kills, three digs and one ace as the Vikings opened Northeast League play with a 25-15, 25-15, 25-17 sweep of the Rams.
Sean Carter had 26 assists, six digs and one kill for Valley.
Aaron Robles led Rancho with 14 assists and two digs.
Chaparral 3, Cheyenne 0 — At Chaparral, Pierce Morgan had 23 assists, and Dominic Carr added nine kills and three blocks as the Cowboys swept the Desert Shields, 25-9, 25-17, 27-25.
Josiah Wagge finished with eight kills for Chaparral.
Darius Gantts led Cheyenne with five kills and seven blocks.
Desert Pines 3, Clark 2 — At Desert Pines, Travis Nofoa had nine kills and 26 digs to help the Jaguars to a 29-27, 18-25, 25-21, 18-25, 15-10 victory over the Chargers.
Bryan Garcia had 16 assists and four aces, and Joel Perez added five blocks for Desert Pines.
Tech 3, Western 1 — At Tech, Tyler Gardenhire racked up 18 kills, 11 digs and eight blocks to help the Roadrunners to a 25-23, 20-25, 25-14, 25-21 victory over the Warriors.
Josh Wood added 17 assists, seven kills and five digs, and Omar Mena had six kills and four digs for Tech.
Vadell Wilson had 16 kills and three blocks, and Braeden Smith contributed 20 assists, four blocks, two kills and two aces for Western, which got nine kills and two blocks from Derrick Rinfrow.
