Roundup: Alex Olsen leads Cimarron over Gorman

Alex Olsen had 27 assists, seven digs and five aces, and Blake Thomas tallied seven kills, three digs and two aces Wednesday as Cimarron-Memorial’s boys volleyball team fought off host Bishop Gorman, 25-20, 16-25, 25-18, 25-10.
Johnathan Mika had 21 digs, and Nick Urena supplied 12 kills for Cimarron.
Trevor Papock recorded 26 assists, and Aiden Napoli added seven kills for Gorman.
Shadow Ridge 3, Palo Verde 0 — At Shadow Ridge, Tanner Franklin tallied 14 kills, 11 digs and two aces, and Andrew Wyatt notched 26 assists and six digs as the Mustangs swept the Panthers, 25-22, 25-15, 25-20.
Jordan Miller had 10 kills and 10 digs, and Travis Hoadley supplied 26 digs for Shadow Ridge.
Cooper Jarman recorded 15 assists, and teammate Jared Brady added 11 kills for Palo Verde, which got six kills from Kade Madsen.
Arbor View 3, Legacy 0 — At Legacy, Jaylen Harris had 13 kills, and Sam Belnap had 32 assists in a 25-19, 25-19, 25-16 win over the Longhorns.
Gideon Belnap added seven kills, five aces and four digs, and teammate Tyler Worthington had 14 digs for Arbor View.
Davick Clark led Legacy with six kills. Nathan Johnson added 16 assists for the Longhorns, who got five digs from Garrett Linell.
Sierra Vista 3, Spring Valley 0 — At Sierra Vista, Frank Hines tallied 14 kills and nine digs in the Mountain Lions’ 25-23, 25-16, 25-20 sweep of the Grizzlies.
Trenton Morss had 17 digs for Sierra Vista.
Hiruy Amanuel and Mariano Saucedo each supplied six kills to lead Spring Valley.
Centennial 3, Clark 0 — At Centennial, Andrew Shiheiber had 13 assists, and Teon Taylor had five kills and three blocks as the Bulldogs easily took care of the Chargers, 25-11, 25-12, 25-8.
Nahmani Brown added four kills for Centennial.
Desert Oasis 3, Boulder City 0 — At Boulder City, Josh Bastin had six kills, four digs, three aces and 19 assists to power the Diamondbacks to a 27-25, 25-14, 26-24 win over the Eagles.
Liam Morrissey had nine kills and five blocks for the Diamondbacks, and teammate Max Pretner added five kills.
Preston Jorgensen had 14 kills, four assists and three blocks for Boulder City. Karson Bailey had 10 kills, two assists and two blocks, and Boen Huxford had 19 assists, two kills and three blocks for the Eagles.
Bonanza 3, Durango 0 — At Durango, Mark Thuet’s 10 kills, eight digs and five aces powered the Bengals over the Trailblazers, 25-23, 25-15, 27-25.
Victor Fajardo had eight digs, five kills and four aces for the Bengals, James Mead had 27 assists, and Kadin Warner had 12 kills.
Tim Kedrowski had five kills, 13 assists, 10 digs and four blocks for Durango. Tai Foster had 18 digs, seven kills and two aces, Braetin Foster had 29 digs, and Noah Vogt had 22 digs for the Trailblazers.
