ROUNDUP: Bonanza wins league opener, remains undefeated

Jared Harrington had seven kills and four blocks Monday to help Bonanza’s boys volleyball team improve to 4-0 overall and open Southwest League play with a 25-23, 25-12, 25-20 home win over Spring Valley.
Price Jarman added four kills and four blocks for the Bengals.
Dallas Teshima dished out 25 assists for the Grizzlies.
Sierra Vista 3, Western 1 — At Sierra Vista, Gino Soriano had seven kills and three digs to help the Mountain Lions to a 25-10, 20-25, 25-16, 25-10 victory over Western.
Andrew Tippetts added seven assists and Kohl Homeyer 10 kills for Sierra Vista.
DeAndre Nash and Joe Gerideau each produced seven blocks for the Warriors. Deion Harrell had six blocks for Western.
Bishop Gorman 3, Durango 0 — At Durango, Cameron Tom had 20 assists and six aces as Bishop Gorman downed the Trailblazers, 25-14, 25-22, 25-17.
Alex Turner and Colton Guinn each had seven kills for the Gaels. Turner also served four aces.
Gary House led Durango with seven kills.
Desert Pines 3, Canyon Springs 2 — At Canyon Springs, Dominique Lawrence had 17 kills, nine blocks, eight digs and seven aces to help Desert Pines outlast the Pioneers, 25-16, 25-23, 25-27, 23-25, 15-12.
Isaako Atimalala added 15 kills and 10 digs for Desert Pines. Michael Tran had 53 assists and Alan Paganelli 12 digs for the Jaguars.
R.J. Esteves had 27 assists and five blocks to lead Canyon Springs. Adam Tuala added 14 kills and Garvin Tabancura 24 digs.
Las Vegas 3, Eldorado 0 — At Eldorado, Danny Farias had 31 assists, six aces and six digs as the Wildcats defeated the Sundevils, 25-13, 25-18, 25-13.
Trevor Hardy had 10 kills and two aces, and Braden Wilson had nine kills and six digs for Las Vegas.
Rancho 3, Valley 1 — At Valley, Antonio Boucher had nine kills, six blocks and five aces in Rancho’s 15-25, 25-17, 27-25, 25-17 win over the Vikings.
Kevin Plasencia had 12 kills and Kevin Wadsworth 25 assists for the Rams.
Jim Videaux led Valley with 21 assists, eight digs, five blocks and three kills. Alonzo Blount added 11 kills, six digs and three aces.
Chaparral 3, Desert Oasis 1 — At Desert Oasis, Carlos Chandia had 15 assists to help the Cowboys defeat the Diamondbacks, 25-20, 7-25, 25-17, 25-23.
LeAndre Dunbar added six kills, and Wayne To’o had four kills and three blocks for Chaparral.
Zach Bobenhausen led Desert Oasis with three aces, two kills and three digs.
