ROUNDUP: Boucher, Rancho turn back Valley
Antonio Boucher had 16 kills, 15 digs and five blocks Wednesday to help Rancho’s boys volleyball team to a 25-20, 17-25, 25-20, 25-12 win over visiting Valley.
Adam Johnson added nine kills and eight blocks and Kevin Wadsworth logged 35 assists for the Rams.
Taylor Herrington had eight kills, eight blocks and six digs for the Vikings. Jim Videaux added 12 assists and Alonzo Blount had 11 kills for Valley.
Canyon Springs 3, Desert Pines 1 — At Desert Pines, Raymond Esteves had 30 assists, eight digs and nine blocks as the Pioneers beat the Jaguars, 31-29, 22-25, 25-22, 25-13.
Kapahu Kahalepo added five aces, three kills and 22 digs, and Adam Tuala had four kills and three aces for Canyon Springs.
Bonanza 3, Spring Valley 0 — At Spring Valley, Scott Davis had 13 kills and four blocks and Jason Bedford added 10 kills and three assists as the Bengals beat the Grizzlies, 25-22, 25-21, 25-17.
Bonanza’s Price Jarman contributed nine kills.
Sierra Vista 3, Western 0 — At Western, Cole Homeyer had 17 kills and two blocks and Cody Seager supplied six kills as the Lions beat the Warriors, 25-15, 25-17, 26-24.
Deion Harrell led Western with 13 kills and four blocks.
Bishop Gorman 3, Durango 0 — At Gorman, Alex Turner had nine kills and five blocks and Bobby Houser supplied 16 kills as the Gaels beat the Trailblazers, 25-20, 25-22, 27-25.
Cameron Tom tallied 27 assists and Ryan Parks had six kills for Gorman.
Coronado 3, Green Valley 0 — At Green Valley, Hunter Chaney had 16 assists, six digs and five aces to help the Cougars to a 25-17, 25-12, 25-18 win over the Gators.
Coronado’s Eric Boman had 11 kills and Chris Austin posted eight assists and seven kills.
Green Valley’s Taylor Mitchell had 14 assists and Cameron Olsen added six kills.
