ROUNDUP: Canyon Springs tops Western in boys volleyball

Garbin Tabancura had 21 digs to help Canyon Springs’ boys volleyball team to a 25-19, 22-25, 25-23, 26-24 road victory over Western on Thursday.

Canyon Springs’ R.J. Esteves had 27 assists, and Adam Tuala had 11 kills for the Pioneers.

Western’s Deion Harrell had 15 kills. Brian Marshall added 26 assists for the Warriors.

Cimarron-Memorial 3, Del Sol 0 — At Del Sol, Taylor Sorensen had 27 assists and two aces to help the Spartans down the Dragons, 25-14, 25-16, 25-19.

Triton Manumaleuna had 11 digs, eight kills and two aces for Cimarron, and Scott Beckwith added nine kills and seven aces.

Eric Beil led the Dragons with six blocks and four kills. Jamie Weathers added four kills for Del Sol.

Liberty 3, Desert Oasis 0 — At Liberty, Paolo Magno had 16 assists in the Patriots’ 25-21, 25-11, 25-18 win over the Diamondbacks.

Cyrus Wongwui added seven kills and four blocks, and Young Devoux had four kills and four blocks for Liberty.

Trevor Zarwan had eight assists and two kills, and Zach Bobenhausen added four digs, three kills and two aces for Desert Oasis.

Foothill 3, Eldorado 0 — At Foothill, Britain Rosenberg dished out 28 assists to help the Falcons to a 25-11, 25-15, 25-16 victory over the Sundevils.

Foothill’s Walter Coe had nine kills, Cody Clay had eight kills and five digs, and Joel Stoker added six kills.

Arbor View 3, Clark 0 — At Clark, Ray Lewis had nine kills in the Aggies’ 26-25, 25-12, 25-17 win over the Chargers.

Kirby Mengert had six kills and five blocks, and Bradley Williams had five kills and four blocks for Arbor View.

Basic 3, Chaparral 0 — At Chaparral, Mike Lunan dished out 18 assists to help the Wolves to a 25-14, 25-17, 25-22 win over the Cowboys.

Jenson Lavallee added eight assists and six kills, Joey Thompson six kills and Austin Hafen five kills and two blocks for the Wolves.

LeAndre Dunbar led the Cowboys with six kills and three blocks.

Desert Pines 3, Mojave 0 — At Mojave, Dalton Leilua had 12 aces to lead the Jaguars to a 25-11, 25-15, 25-9 sweep.

Desert Pines’ Dominique Lawrence and Isaaka Atimalala had 10 and eight aces, respectively.

James Noles had four aces for Mojave.

Palo Verde 3, Bishop Gorman 0 — At Palo Verde, Drew Topham had seven kills and Matt Lish 13 assists to lead the Panthers over the Gaels, 25-18, 25-7, 25-17.

Donny Doquisa had 11 assists and Kryston Mamuiairangi six kills for Palo Verde.

Cameron Tom had nine assists and Colton Guira seven kills to lead Gorman.

Bonanza 3, Rancho 1 — At Rancho, Dustin Tippitts had 25 assists and six digs for the Bengals in their 25-15, 25-20, 20-25, 25-23 win over the Rams.

Andrew Whiting had 10 kills and John Grady eight kills for Bonanza.

Rancho’s Kevin Wadsworth had 26 assists. Antonio Boucher had 10 kills and seven blocks and Adam Johnson 13 blocks for the Rams.

Tech 3, Legacy 1 — At Tech, Johnny Wyrick had 10 kills and seven aces for the Roadrunners in their 25-23, 25-20, 18-25, 25-20 win over the Longhorns.

Eddie Lopez added 20 assists and Brandon Tiffany five kills for Tech.

Hector Bojado led Legacy with 21 assists.

Valley 3, Cheyenne 2 — At Cheyenne, the Vikings outlasted the Desert Shields, 25-11, 25-13, 17-25, 25-27, 17-15.
