ROUNDUP: Chaney keeps Coronado boys’ perfect start alive

Hunter Chaney dished out 27 assists, then added four digs and three aces, Wednesday to lead Coronado’s volleyball team to a 25-11, 25-14, 25-12 win over visiting Liberty.

Bryan Arana and Byrin Romney each added seven kills for the Cougars, who got six kills and seven blocks from Charles Andrulis and improved to 5-0 overall.

Brendon Reano paced the Patriots with seven kills and three blocks, and Jeremie Vang added six digs.

Del Sol 3, Tech 0 — At Del Sol, Nick Maglaras dished out 21 assists and had four kills to help the Dragons sweep the Roadrunners, 25-7, 25-14, 25-20.

Aaron Rife added seven kills and Zack Deitrick totaled five for Del Sol.

Dalton Webb had five kills and three blocks for Tech.

Silverado 3, Basic 0 — At Basic, Casey Hadnland dished out 32 assists to lead the Skyhawks to a 25-14, 25-16, 25-15 sweep of the Wolves.

Jordan Royal had nine kills, and Jarin Sillitoe added 14 digs for Silverado.

Basic was led by Jordan Pils with 12 kills, and Stephen Udall tallied 11 assists.

Green Valley 3, Foothill 1 — At Foothill, Green Valley rallied for a 15-25, 25-15, 25-17, 25-18 win over the Falcons.

Britain Rosenberg had 20 assists for Foothill. F.J. Funtila added 11 kills, and Darren Buckles tallied four kills and three blocks for the Falcons.

Centennial 3, Cheyenne 0 — At Cheyenne, Connor Earl dished out 18 assists, and Matt Kurtz had 10 kills and three aces to help the Bulldogs to a road win over the Desert Shields, 25-9, 25-10, 25-18.

Mike Robinson added nine kills and three aces for Centennial.

Ervin Leu had five kills, three aces and two blocks, and Nathan Pryor tallied seven digs and four assists for Cheyenne.

Arbor View 3, Mojave 0 — At Arbor View, Taylor Jones recorded 26 assists, and Kirby Mengert supplied 16 kills as the Aggies beat the Rattlers, 25-14, 25-18, 25-8.

Jesse Morgan added eight digs for Arbor View.

Palo Verde 3, Cimarron-Memorial 0 — At Cimarron, Sean Wilson had 26 assists and five aces, and Drew Topham supplied 12 kills and six digs to help the Panthers down the Spartans 25-5, 25-20, 25-18.

Nick Hipwell added eight kills and two blocks for Palo Verde.

Tanner Maxwell had five kills and Braydon Egbert registered five digs for Cimarron.

Shadow Ridge 3, Legacy 0 — At Legacy, Taylor Lancaster had 13 digs and 11 kills, and Zach Hafen put up five kills and five aces to lead the Mustangs to a 25-13, 25-12, 25-19 sweep of the Longhorns.

Billy Purcell had six kills and Hector Bojado added five assists for Legacy.
