ROUNDUP: Crum, Wolves fend off rally to stun Gators

Weston Crum had 15 kills, 17 digs and five blocks Monday to help Basic’s boys volleyball team to a 25-21, 25-23, 16-25, 18-25, 15-13 win at Green Valley.

Ryan Williams added 15 digs and three aces, and Darren Klein dished out 20 assists for the Wolves.

Steven Stembridge distributed 15 assists, and Ian Casasola had seven kills for Basic.

Shadow Ridge 3, Centennial 2 — At Centennial, Tanner Maxwell racked up 40 kills and 12 digs, and Braden Taylor supplied 32 assists and eight kills to help the Mustangs outlast the Bulldogs, 16-25, 25-14, 25-22, 23-25, 17-15.

Jalen Makaiwi had 33 assists, and Brandon Fisher spiked 14 kills for Shadow Ridge.

Dustin Buell had 17 kills and three aces, and Chet Dirkin distributed 51 assists for Centennial, which got 14 kills from Dane Hunsicker and 13 kills from Tanner Bonds.

Coronado 3, Foothill 1 — At Foothill, Connor Stephenson had 45 assists and nine digs, and Brandon Dau had 16 kills, 14 digs and four aces to lead the Cougars past the Falcons, 26-24, 23-25, 25-9, 25-21.

Austin Moiseyev supplied 14 kills, seven digs and two aces, and Tyler Cucullu had 12 kills, four blocks and two aces for Coronado.

Kendell Andrews had 16 digs and 15 kills, and Clancey Gillies notched 33 assists and two aces for Foothill, which got 11 kills and two blocks from Chansten Chow.

Palo Verde 3, Arbor View 0 — At Arbor View, Trent Gneiting recorded 16 kills and four digs as the Panthers swept the Aggies, 25-12, 25-12, 25-17.

Jordyn Martin added 10 kills and eight digs for Palo Verde, which got 17 assists, four digs and two aces from Andrew Weston.

Garrett Rader had 19 digs, and Richie Garness added four kills and five digs for the Aggies.

Cimarron-Memorial 3, Cheyenne 0 — At Cimarron, Hayden Newton posted 10 kills, and teammate N.J. Makaiwi added 17 assists and three aces to help the Spartans sweep the Desert Shields, 25-17, 25-11, 25-12.

Taylor Larsen added 12 assists and four aces for Cimarron, which got six kills from Kyle Henriksen.

Harrel Toror-Garcia had four kills and three digs, and Edgar Rodriguez supplied four digs and two kills for Cheyenne.

Silverado 3, Tech 0 — At Tech, Kyle Divicino had 10 kills and four blocks, and Indigo Varela added 11 digs as the Skyhawks swept the Roadrunners, 25-15, 25-15, 25-23.

Hunter Witt had seven kills and two blocks for Silverado.

Adan Hernandez posted seven kills and five blocks, and Dalton Webb supplied seven kills and two blocks for Tech.

Legacy 3, Mojave 0 — At Mojave, Justin Paquin posted 16 kills, five aces and three blocks. and teammate Tanner Compton added four kills and three blocks as the Longhorns swept the Rattlers, 25-17, 25-17, 25-23.

Braden Lui supplied 10 assists and three kills for Legacy, which got five kills from Jared Cox.

Christian Limtiaco led Mojave with nine digs, seven assists and five blocks.

Liberty 3, Del Sol 0 — At Liberty, Braden Cabais recorded 15 assists and two aces as the Patriots rolled the Dragons, 25-18, 25-13, 25-13.
