Roundup: Desert Oasis fends off Bonanza for 5-set win

Liam Morrissey had 20 kills, 11 digs and five blocks as the Desert Oasis boys volleyball team held on for a 25-19, 25-14, 25-27, 20-25, 15-13 victory over visiting Bonanza on Tuesday.

Jacob Jaffe added 14 kills and 13 digs, and Josh Bastin had 12 kills, 23 assists, three aces and seven digs for the Diamondbacks.

Noah Skrinak had 22 assists and three aces for Desert Oasis.

Kadin Warner led Bonanza with 19 kills, six digs, four blocks and three aces. Mark Thuet added 15 kills and six digs for the Bengals, and teammate James Mead had 42 assists, five aces and seven digs.

Arbor View 3, Durango 1 — At Durango, Jaylen Harris had 17 kills, and Sam Belnap added 44 assists to lead the Aggies to a 23-25, 32-30, 25-22, 25-19 win over the Trailblazers.

Tyler Worthington added 23 digs and three aces for Arbor View.

Braetin Foster had 42 digs and three aces for Durango, and Tai Foster had 17 kills, 36 digs and two blocks.

Cimarron-Memorial 3, Spring Valley 0 — At Spring Valley, Alex Olsen dished out 39 assists to help the Spartans sweep the Grizzlies, 25-16, 25-18, 25-21.

Blake Thomas had 13 kills and six aces for Cimarron, which got nine kills apiece from Jameson Valencia and Fred Tito.

Michael Page led Spring Valley with four blocks.

Basic 3, Boulder City 0 — At Boulder City, Trevor Robbins put down 10 kills, and Dallas Green tallied six blocks as the Wolves swept the Eagles, 25-23, 25-14, 25-23.

Colton Banks had five digs, and Lance Brand served four aces for Basic.

Boen Huxford notched 20 assists and seven kills, and Karson Bailey had 13 kills and four aces for Boulder City, which also got 15 kills from Preston Jorgensen.

Shadow Ridge 3, Sierra Vista 0 — At Shadow Ridge, Andrew Wyatt supplied 23 assists in the Mustangs’ 25-23, 25-19, 25-20 sweep of the Mountain Lions.

Jordan Miller had 13 kills and nine digs, and Tanner Franklin added 12 kills for Shadow Ridge, which got 18 digs from Travis Hoadley.

Bronson Tomas led Sierra Vista with 22 assists and six digs, and Croix Reganit notched 10 kills and 10 digs for the Mountain Lions.

Centennial 3, Legacy 0 — At Centennial, four Bulldogs tallied five kills to sweep the Longhorns, 25-6, 25-13, 25-9.

Austin Anderson, Sione Tuiasoa, Nahmani Brown, and Allen Nsaduga supplied five kills apiece for Centennial.

Nathan Johnson had five assists and nine digs for the Longhorns, and Allen Nsaduga had six digs.

Bishop Gorman 3, Clark 0 — At Gorman, the Gaels swept the Chargers, 25-9, 25-19, 25-17.
