ROUNDUP: Hadland helps Silverado hold off Basic
Casey Hadland racked up 33 assists, nine digs and five blocks Wednesday to lead Silverado’s boys volleyball team to a 25-13, 25-20, 20-25, 25-22 win over visiting Basic.
Tiree Burton added nine kills for the Skyhawks.
Jordan Royal supplied eight kills and five blocks, and Rusty Santiago had 19 digs for Silverado.
Stephen Udall dished out 30 assists for the Wolves. Jordan Pils put down 15 kills, Tanner Humphreys added 12, Weston Crum contributed 10 and Joey Thomas supplied nine for Basic.
Del Sol 3, Tech 0 — At Tech, Nick Manglaras distributed 17 assists, and Cameron Ely contributed nine digs to lead the Dragons to a 25-11, 25-15, 25-16 road win over the Roadrunners.
Abel Hernandez tallied four kills for Tech.
Coronado 3, Liberty 0 — At Liberty, Hunter Chaney dished out 23 assists to lead the Cougars to a 25-6, 25-13, 25-22 sweep of the Patriots.
Chris Andrulis had eight kills, seven digs and six aces for Coronado. Jordan Osmundson chipped in six blocks, and Charles Andrulis added five kills for the Cougars.
Brendon Reano had seven kills and four blocks, and Paul Acluba passed 11 assists for Liberty.
Green Valley 3, Foothil 0 — At Green Valley, Nick Hevrin had 24 assists and eight digs in the Gators’ 25-19, 25-23, 25-20 sweep of Foothill.
Beau Gronert had eight kills and five blocks for Green Valley. Jon Cheun added 15 digs, and Spencer Campbell contributed seven kills for the Gators.
Britain Rosenberg had 12 assists, and F.J. Funtila added eight kills for the Falcons.
Centennial 3, Cheyenne 0 — At Centennial, Leo Durkin dished out 25 assists to help the Bulldogs sweep Cheyenne, 25-8, 25-16, 25-17.
McKay Holly had 12 kills and three aces for Centennial. Ryan Ramin added five kills, and Sean Deaver contributed three kills and five aces for the Bulldogs.
Carlos Mezquitan had 12 assists, and Ervin Leu registered four kills for the Desert Shields.
Shadow Ridge 3, Legacy 0 — At Shadow Ridge, Brandon Fisher tallied 10 digs and seven kills, and Jalen Makaiwi had 18 assists as the Mustangs routed the Longhorns, 25-3, 25-8, 25-11.
Francisco Urbina had five assists and Justin Paquin put down three kills for Legacy.
Arbor View 3, Mojave 0 — At Mojave, Kirby Mengert had 16 kills and 10 digs, and Taylor Jones dished out 32 assists as the Aggies took down the Rattlers, 25-14, 25-15, 25-14.
Kealyn Butler supplied eight digs and six assists for Arbor View.
James Noles led Mojave with nine assists, and Marques Strickland had seven kills.
Palo Verde 3, Cimarron-Memorial 0 — At Palo Verde, Sean Wilson had 32 assists and three blocks, and Drew Topham provided 11 kills and five digs to help the Panthers beat the Spartans, 25-14, 25-16, 25-21.
Pat Morrison added nine digs for Palo Verde.
Braydon Egbert racked up 13 digs for the Spartans. Tanner Maxwell added four kills and six assists, and Aaron Bowers supplied six digs and three kills for Cimarron.
