ROUNDUP: Hill, Rams pull away from Pioneers

R’Mond Hill posted 17 kills, four aces, four digs and two blocks, and Kendall Reynold added 36 assists and six digs Monday to help Rancho’s boys volleyball team to a 25-13, 22-25, 25-19, 32-30 win at Canyon Springs.
Guillermo Silva recorded 14 kills, five aces and four digs, and Nathan Campo had 14 digs and three aces for the Rams.
Jon Jason Duhaylungsod led Canyon Springs with 26 assists and nine digs. Immanuel Tafuga added nine kills, seven digs and five blocks, and Adam Tuala had 13 kills and eight digs for the Pioneers.
Bonanza 3, Desert Oasis 2 — At Desert Oasis, Brycen Duckworth poured in 18 kills to help the Bengals outlast the Diamondbacks, 17-25, 25-22, 21-25, 25-21, 15-11.
Kavanaugh Buck added 14 kills for Bonanza, which got 10 kills from Kellen Layne.
Desert Pines 3, Eldorado 1 — At Desert Pines, Trevor Krystek had 25 assists and three aces to help the Jaguars down the Sundevils, 28-26, 25-19, 23-25, 25-17.
Bryan Garcia added 19 digs, and Julian Jacobs had 18 kills and four blocks for Desert Pines, which got 15 kills from Thomas Hooper.
Jacob Hollingsworth led Eldorado with 13 kills and six blocks. Joey Barnhurst added 20 assists, and Joey Smith had 11 kills for the Sundevils, who got 11 digs from Cody Ence.
Sierra Vista 3, Durango 1 — At Sierra Vista, Josh Sison had 16 digs and six aces to help the Mountain Lions defeat the Trailblazers, 25-12, 23-25, 25-12, 25-14.
Anthony Harvanek had three aces to help Sierra Vista.
Dex Alston had 20 digs, and Brendan Kennedy added seven kills for Durango.
Bishop Gorman 3, Clark 1 — At Gorman, Bryan Fuimara provided eight kills and three blocks, and Matt Lychock added seven kills and three blocks as the Gaels downed the Chargers, 25-17, 25-15, 17-25, 25-20.
Stephen Zimmerman had eight kills and two blocks for Gorman.
Taeg Williams paced Clark with 19 assists. Jeremy Barbers and Clen Green each had four kills for the Chargers.
Tech 3, Del Sol 1 — At Tech, Dalton Webb recorded 11 kills and four aces, and Edwin Lopez posted 20 assists, five kills and four aces as the Roadrunners defeated the Dragons, 25-14, 16-25, 25-16, 25-15.
Phillman Teclom led Del Sol with 30 digs. Kevin Kaitschuck had nine kills, and Deaven Holcomb had eight kills for the Dragons.
Spring Valley 3, Western 0 — At Spring Valley, DeShaun Nowlin had 20 digs, 11 kills and five aces to help the Grizzlies roll past the Warriors, 25-12, 25-16, 25-17.
Vin Cortorillo had 16 digs to help Spring Valley, and teammate Donald Keith added six kills, six digs and four blocks.
Braeden Smith led Western with 16 assists and two kills. Vadell Wilson added eight kills for the Warriors.
Valley 3, Chaparral 0 — At Chaparral, Peter Nunes had 28 assists, eight digs and six assists, and Matt Ballaro had seven kills, seven digs and four aces to lead the Vikings past the Cowboys, 25-15, 25-16, 25-20.
Lorenzo Capannola had eight kills and three aces for Valley.
Pierce Morgan had 18 assists and three blocks, and Jesus Botello added 12 digs and two aces to lead Chaparral.
Las Vegas 3, Sunrise Mountain 0 — At Sunrise Mountain, Garrett Jones had 17 kills, four digs and four aces to lead the Wildcats to a 25-17, 25-21, 25-7 victory over the Miners.
Evany Diaz had 21 assists, and Shayne Marquez supplied eight assists and three aces for Las Vegas, which got four kills from Blake Burgess.
