ROUNDUP: Houser’s 27 kills help Gaels outlast Grizzlies

Bobby Houser had 27 kills Tuesday to lead Bishop Gorman’s boys volleyball team to a 25-14, 20-25, 22-25, 25-20, 15-10 victory at Spring Valley.

Matt Lychock added 12 kills and Amadeus Sowa had seven kills for the Gaels. Cameron Tom dished out 47 assists for Gorman, and Jonathan Sowa tallied 12 digs.

Blake Ringer paced Spring Valley with 19 kills and three aces.

Dallas Teshima had 27 assists for the Grizzlies, who got 20 digs from Seth McGowan.

Bonanza 3, Western 0 — At Western, Price Jarman had 18 kills, and Craig Whiting supplied 22 assists as the Bengals swept the Warriors, 25-10, 25-10, 25-19.

Matthew Lewis had seven kills, Nash McIntosh contributed eight assists, and Aaron Buckley added six kills and six blocks for Western.

Clark 3, Durango 1 — At Durango, George Huang had 17 kills, six aces and three blocks as the Chargers posted a 25-10, 25-15, 27-29, 25-18 win over the Trailblazers.

Josh Maury had 12 kills, and Sam Ditterline added 10 kills for Durango.

Caleb Snook had 21 assists and four kills for the Trailblazers, which got 13 digs from Tony Nieves and 11 digs from Dex Alston.

Sierra Vista 3, Desert Oasis 1 — At Desert Oasis, Preston Miranda had 25 assists, six blocks, five digs and four kills to pace the Mountain Lions to a 25-21, 19-25, 25-22, 25-17 victory over the Diamondbacks.

Cameron Carlson added 12 kills, and Khrumm Fahim had 11 kills, six blocks and five digs for Sierra Vista.

Trevor Zarvian led Desert Oasis with 34 assists and five digs. Zach Bobenhausen supplied 13 kills and two blocks, and Cameron Mich’l added eight kills and four blocks for the Diamondbacks.

Rancho 3, Sunrise Mountain 1 — At Rancho, Guillermo Silva had 21 kills, and Kyle Stankosky added 15 kills as the Rams defeated the Miners, 25-20, 20-25, 25-18, 25-20.

Nathan Campo had 25 assists and nine digs, and Kendall Reynolds added 20 assists for Rancho.

Cody Trapp had seven blocks, and Alex Benitez contributed four kills to lead Sunrise Mountain.

Canyon Springs 3, Eldorado 0 — At Eldorado, James Harris had eight kills, and Jon Duhaylungsod added 17 assists to help lead the Pioneers to a sweep of the Sundevils, 25-14, 25-15, 25-20.

Mendi Sekkat had seven aces, and Adam Trala supplied five kills for Canyon Springs.

Julian Jacobs led Eldorado with seven kills.

Las Vegas 3, Chaparral 0 — At Chaparral, Ronnie Adams had 12 aces to help the Wildcats to a 25-4, 25-17, 25-11 win over the Cowboys.

Luke Hansen added 18 assists, six kills and two blocks for Las Vegas, and Jimichael Baker supplied seven kills and three blocks.
