ROUNDUP: Huang helps Chargers take down Mountain Lions

Clark’s George Huang had 23 kills as the Chargers’ boys volleyball team defeated visiting Sierra Vista, 25-11, 25-19, 23-25, 25-21 on Thursday.

David Samson had 36 assists, and Johnny Phane added eight kills and five digs for Clark.

Khrumm Fahim led Sierra Vista with 14 kills and nine digs. Billy Rom added four aces and nine digs for the Mountain Lions.

Spring Valley 3, Desert Oasis 1 — At Desert Oasis, Blake Ringer had 30 kills and five aces to help the Grizzlies rally for a 22-25, 25-19, 25-17, 25-21 victory over the Diamondbacks.

Dallas Teshima supplied 45 assists and four aces to help Desert Oasis, and teammate Parker Slade added 11 kills.

Danny Eslinger had 15 digs to lead Desert Oasis, and teammate Alex Trillo had 12 kills, four digs and two blocks.

Rancho 3, Eldorado 0 — At Rancho, Kyle Stankowsky had six kills and five aces to help the Rams cruise past the Sundevils, 25-12, 25-16, 25-15.

Nathan Campo added 12 assists for Rancho, and teammate Jarik Wasson contributed five kills.

Las Vegas 3, Valley 0 — At Valley, Luke Hansen had 30 assists and six digs, and Tyler Crawford supplied eight kills and six digs to lead the Wildcats to a sweep of the Vikings, 25-21, 25-14, 25-8.

Garrett Jones and Jimichael Baker each added seven kills for Las Vegas.

Peter Nunes had 15 assists, Mauricio Molina collected 11 digs, and Ignacio Diaz posted seven kills for Valley.

Sunrise Mountain 3, Canyon Springs 0 — At Canyon Springs, John Buffington had nine kills, and Cody Trapp added eight kills to carry the Miners to a 25-18, 25-22, 25-20 win over the Pioneers.

Alvaro Morales collected 10 digs for Sunrise Mountain.

Jon Duhaylungsod had 30 assists for Canyon Springs, and James Harris added eight kills.

Western 3, Durango 0 — At Western, Matthew Lewis had 14 kills and two blocks to help the Warriors past the Trailblazers, 26-24, 25-20, 25-19.

Aaron Buckley added 12 kills and eight blocks for Western, and teammate Nash McIntosh supplied 23 assists and three aces.

Josh Maury led Durango with eight kills, and Brendan Kennedy added six kills for the Trailblazers.

Desert Pines 3, Chaparral 0 — At Chaparral, Trevor Krystek had nine kills, five blocks and four aces to lead the Jaguars past the Cowboys, 25-21, 26-24, 25-11.

Tony Savea distributed 20 assists for Desert Pines.

Paul Paradiso had four kills and three blocks for Chaparral.
