ROUNDUP: Humpherys keys Basic’s two-set comeback at Tech

Tanner Humpherys had 24 kills, 22 digs and five blocks Thursday as Basic’s boys volleyball team rallied for a 25-27, 21-25, 25-11, 25-14, 15-8 road win over Tech.

Weston Crum added 18 kills and 14 digs, and John Fitzgerald had 43 assists and seven digs for the Wolves.

Dalton Webb led Tech with 13 kills. Jaime Torres added eight kills and seven blocks, and teammate Edwin Lopez notched 16 assists and five digs for the Roadrunners.

Palo Verde 3, Mojave 0 — At Mojave, Sean Wilson dished out 24 assists as the Panthers swept the Rattlers, 25-12, 25-8, 25-14.

Vince Hipwell added 13 digs, and Patt Morrison supplied eight kills and six digs for Palo Verde.

Silverado 3, Foothill 0 — At Silverado, Kyle Divicino had nine kills, and Ruben Jackson added seven kills to lead the Skyhawks to a 25-14, 25-15, 25-10 victory over the Falcons.

Dakota Relle supplied nine assists and two aces for Silverado.

Corey Philpot led Foothill with seven assists.

Centennial 3, Cimarron-Memorial 0 — At Centennial, Leo Durkin had 14 assists, four aces and three kills to lead the Bulldogs past the Spartans, 25-11, 25-12, 25-11.

Dylan Morris added four kills for Centennial.

Ares Manumaleuna had five kills, two blocks and two digs to lead Cimarron, and teammate Hunter Stratton added four kills and three digs.

Shadow Ridge 3, Cheyenne 0 — At Cheyenne, Braden Taylor supplied 20 assists and six kills to lead the Mustangs past the Desert Shields, 25-16, 25-22, 25-12.

Cody Tesoro collected 31 digs, and Justin Kent put down nine kills for Shadow Ridge.

Nathan Pryor had 12 digs, and Kevin Machuca added nine digs to lead Cheyenne.

Arbor View 3, Legacy 0 — At Legacy, Kealyn Butler had 13 kills as the Aggies cruised past the Longhorns, 25-13, 25-21, 25-13.

Nicco Buffalino added 11 digs for Arbor View.

Justin Paquin paced Legacy with eight kills.

Coronado 3, Del Sol 0 — At Coronado, Byrin Romney had 20 assists, eight kills and six digs to lead the Cougars to a 25-14, 25-11, 25-19 victory over the Dragons.

Chris Andrulis added eight kills, and Jahren Makanoa had seven kills for Coronado.

Kevin Fitzpatrick led Del Sol with nine kills, and Cameron Ely had nine digs and seven kills for the Dragons.

Green Valley 3, Liberty 0 — At Green Valley, Beau Gronert had 13 kills and six blocks to lead the Gators to a 25-12, 25-20, 25-21 victory over the Patriots.

Vimal Patel added five kills for Green Valley.

Daniel Filimona led Liberty with four kills.
