Roundup: Juan Benitez powers Chaparral over Boulder City

Juan Benitez had 16 kills and 21 assists on Monday to lead Chaparral’s boys volleyball team to a 28-30, 25-13, 19-25, 25-12, 15-5 victory over visiting Boulder City.
Angel Porras added 14 kills and two aces, and Chris Chavarria had 12 kills and six blocks for the Cowboys, who got four kills and 25 assists from Robert McGregor.
Preston Jorgenson led the Eagles with 15 kills. Boen Huxford added four kills and 14 assists for Boulder City, and teammate Karson Bailey had five kills.
Cimarron-Memorial 3, Durango 1 — At Durango, Alex Olson had 43 assists, four digs and two aces as the Spartans beat the Trailblazers, 25-19, 27-29, 25-19, 25-15.
Blake Thomas added 13 kills and two blocks, and Jameson Valencia had 12 kills and three digs for Cimarron. Fred Tito added 11 kills, four aces and three digs for the Spartans.
Eion McMelroy had eight kills and 11 digs for Durango. Tau Fotu added six kills and eight digs, and Jovan Lubura had five kills and two blocks for the Trailblazers, which got 32 digs from Braetin Foster.
Shadow Ridge 3, Bishop Gorman 1 — At Gorman, Tanner Franklin had 14 kills, three aces and 11 digs as the Mustangs rallied for a 21-25, 25-21, 25-12, 25-22 win over the Gaels.
Zach Fedinec added nine kills, and Andrew Wyatt and Justin Ahlstrom each had 19 assists and three aces for Shadow Ridge.
Trevor Papock led Gorman with 33 assists, 12 digs and four blocks. Julian Uy added 16 digs, and Aiden Napoli had nine kills and 10 digs for the Gaels.
Arbor View 3, Spring Valley 0 — At Spring Valley, Sam Belnap had 32 assists and four aces as the Aggies swept the Grizzlies, 25-9, 25-17, 25-12.
Arbor View’s Jake Reid had 12 kills, Jaylen Harris had 10 kills, and Tyler Worthington had 10 digs and five aces.
Spring Valley’s Alan Quach had eight assists, and teammate Anthony Dodson had five kills.
Palo Verde 3, Sierra Vista 0 — At Palo Verde, Stephen Banks had 15 kills and four blocks as the Panthers swept the Mountain Lions, 25-20, 27-25, 25-21.
Cooper Jarman had 22 assists, Luke Johnston had 14 assists, and Jared Brady had eight kills for Palo Verde.
Sierra Vista’s Bronson Tomas had 21 assists and seven digs. Trenton Morss had 17 digs and two aces and teammate Jericho Sison had five digs for the Mountain Lions.
Centennial 3, Desert Oasis 0 — At Desert Oasis, Sam Durkin had 16 assists as the Bulldogs swept the Diamondbacks, 25-21, 25-10, 25-12.
Centennial’s Farries Gardner added 11 kills and seven aces. Tyler Godown had nine kills and three blocks, and Austin Anderson had nine kills and two digs for the Bulldogs.
Tyler Sadama led Desert Oasis with 10 assists. Liam Morrissey had seven kills and four blocks, and Jacob Jaffe had five kills for the Diamondbacks.
Silverado 3, Legacy 0 — At Silverado, Bravyn Aquino had 22 assists as the Skyhawks swept the Longhorns, 25-23, 25-12, 25-14.
Tyler Olson had 10 kills and two aces, and Michael Palacios had three kills and three aces for Silverado.
Legacy’s Nathan Johnson had 15 assists and 10 digs, and teammates Davick Clark and Garrett Linell each had six kills.
Bonanza 3, Clark 0 — At Clark, Kadin Warner had eight kills and five aces to lead the Bengals to a 25-9, 25-18, 25-20 victory over the Chargers.
Mark Thuet had seven kills, six aces and four digs, and James mead had 16 assists for Bonanza.
Jay Vaughn led Clark with three kills, two digs and three solo blocks.
