ROUNDUP: Lee, Balagtas rally Mountain Lions by Gaels in marathon fifth set

Paolo Lee had 29 assists and nine digs, and Clyde Balagtas put down 11 kills Tuesday to help Sierra Vista’s boys volleyball team rally for a 14-25, 25-20, 21-25, 25-20, 20-18 win at Bishop Gorman.

Joshua Sison had 17 digs, and Billy Rom supplied nine digs and eight kills for the Mountain Lions.

Matt Lychock posted 17 kills, and Stephen Zimmerman added 14 kills for the Gaels, who got 34 assists from Chris Shea.

Bonanza 3, Durango 1 — At Bonanza, Mitchell Barnes dished out 44 assists, and Brycen Duckworth had 16 kills to lead the Bengals to a 25-19, 25-14, 21-25, 25-22 win over the Trailblazers.

Kenny Desoto added 12 digs for Bonanza.

Paris Estrada posted 13 blocks and six kills, and Caleb Snook had 15 assists for Durango.

Spring Valley 3, Clark 1 — At Spring Valley, Wayne Luk posted 25 digs, and Donald Keith added eight kills as the Grizzlies defeated the Chargers, 23-25, 25-17, 25-9, 25-10.

Jarrett Wallace added 10 digs and six kills for Spring Valley.

Paeg Williams paced Clark with 21 assists, and teammate Glen Green supplied eight kills and three blocks.

Canyon Springs 3, Chaparral 1 — At Chaparral, Immanuel Tufuga notched 20 digs, and James Harris had 17 kills as the Pioneers downed the Cowboys, 22-25, 25-20, 32-30, 25-17.

Saiquan Charingto had 21 kills and two blocks for Chaparral.

Desert Oasis 3, Western 0 — At Western, Alex Trillo had 27 assists, nine digs, five kills and three aces as the Diamondbacks swept the Warriors, 27-25, 25-19, 25-16.

Tailer Bowen had nine kills and five blocks, and Tanner Dupree supplied nine kills for Desert Oasis.

Vadell Wilson totaled six kills and five blocks, and Braeden Smith added 10 assists for Western.

Las Vegas 3, Rancho 0 — At Las Vegas, Garrett Jones posted 18 kills and seven digs, and teammate Evany Diaz added 30 assists and five digs as the Wildcats swept the Rams, 25-13, 25-21, 25-22.

Levi Mackelprang recorded 11 kills and nine digs, and Jace Turner had seven kills and four blocks for Las Vegas.

Guillermo Silva led Rancho with 11 kills. Jarik Wasson had 15 assists, and R’mond Hill had five kills for the Rams.

Desert Pines 3, Sunrise Mountain 0 — At Desert Pines, Trevor Krystek had 16 assists and five aces as the Jaguars swept the Miners, 25-20, 25-17, 25-22.

Diego Sanchez added 15 digs, and Julian Jacobs supplied 11 kills for Desert Pines.

Valley 3, Eldorado 0 — At Eldorado, Peter Nunes recorded 22 assists, three kills and three aces as the Vikings rolled the Sundevils, 25-13, 25-20, 25-10.

Jack Heavey added 11 kills, and Matt Ballaro had six kills for Valley.

Jacob Hollingsworth led Eldorado with five blocks and five kills.
