ROUNDUP: Rancho sweeps Desert Pines in boys volleyball

Antonio Boucher had 11 kills, eight digs and five blocks Friday to help Rancho’s boys volleyball team to a 25-18, 25-16, 25-22 win at Desert Pines.

Kevin Wadsworth added 12 assists for Rancho, and teammate Kevin Plascencia had eight digs and six aces.

Dalton Leilua had 12 assists to lead Desert Pines. Teammate Paul Bennett had five kills and four blocks, and Daniel Aguilar had seven digs.

Coronado 3, Bonanza 1 — At Coronado, Chris Austin had 25 assists and 10 kills to help the Cougars beat the Bengals, 21-25, 25-13, 26-24, 25-11.

Bryan Arana had 12 kills and two aces for Coronado, and teammate Eric Boman had 12 kills, three aces and two blocks.

Andrew Whiting and Scott Davis each had 10 kills for Bonanza.

Palo Verde 3, Las Vegas 1 — At Las Vegas, Matt Lish had 44 assists and Shaun Carroll 13 kills and 13 digs to lead the Panthers over the Wildcats, 25-17, 18-25, 25-17, 25-19.

Tyler Capko had 17 kills and Nick Hipwell eight for Palo Verde.

Danny Farias had 36 assists and 10 digs, Braeden Wilson 10 kills and eight digs and Chris Gbelay seven kills and two blocks for Las Vegas.
