Roundup: Shadow Ridge defeats Las Vegas in five-set thriller

Tanner Franklin had 22 kills and 13 digs, and Justin Ahlstrom added 31 assists as Shadow Ridge’s boys volleyball team got past Las Vegas for a 18-25, 25-21, 25-16, 22-25, 15-7 home victory on Tuesday night.

Travis Hoadley had 30 digs, and Derek Robnett supplied 14 kills and nine digs for the Mustangs.

Shaun Kampshoff recorded 21 assists, 13 digs, 11 kills, four aces and three blocks to lead Las Vegas.

Leander Gates had 13 digs and 11 kills, Jorge Hernandez tallied 14 digs and five kills, and Rodolfo Boteo-Juarez added 11 kills for the Wildcats.

Sierra Vista 3, Green Valley 2 — At Green Valley, Frank Hines had 14 kills, nine assists, three aces and 14 digs to power the Mountain Lions to a 27-25, 12-25, 25-14, 23-25, 17-15 win over the Gators.

Croix Reganit added 16 kills, 12 digs and two blocks, and teammate Trenotn Morss had 18 digs and three aces for Sierra Vista.

Kyle Cronic led Green Valley with 16 kills.

Tech 3, Western 0 — At Western, Jerin Lacson had five aces, and Jericho Inciong added 10 assists to propel the Roadrunners to a 25-17, 25-17, 25-13 win over the Warriors.

Julio Gamet had two aces and six assists for Western, and teammate Jason McCoy added five kills.

Del Sol 3, Sunrise Mountain 0 — At Sunrise Mountain, Alan Ramos-Flores recorded 19 assists, five aces and four kills to lead the Dragons to a 25-20, 25-22, 25-19 sweep of the Miners.

David Anderson had seven kills and three aces, and Tyrell Hampton put down nine kills for Del Sol.

Emerald Acasili had 12 digs and three kills, and Charles Thomas supplied three kills and three blocks for Sunrise Mountain.

Palo Verde 3, Foothill 0 — At Palo Verde, Stephen Banks had eight kills and three blocks, and Cooper Jarman and Luke Johnston each supplied seven assists as the Panthers swept the Falcons, 25-9, 25-12, 25-17.

Jared Brady added seven kills for Palo Verde.

Tanner Lester had seven kills, and Dallen Martineau provided five blocks for Foothill.

Basic 3, Bonanza 0 — At Bonanza, Trevor Robbins had 14 kills as the Wolves swept the Bengals, 25-19, 25-23, 27-25.

Lance Brand supplied eight blocks for Basic.

James Mead led Bonanza with 28 assists and eight digs, and Mark Thuet added 11 kills and five digs for the Bengals.

Durango 3, Valley 0 — At Durango, Tim Kedrowski supplied 15 assists and five kills to lead the Trailblazers to a 25-9, 25-20, 25-21 sweep of the Vikings.

Jack Plourde had 19 assists, and teammate Tai Foster added 13 kills for Durango.

Trey Harp had 13 digs to lead Valley.

Rancho 3, Legacy 1 — At Rancho, Jesus Gonzalez dished out 25 assists to lead the Rams to a 27-25, 24-26, 25-21, 25-21 win over the Longhorns.

Adali Rodriguez had 10 digs and nine kills, and teammate Brennan Berti added 10 kills and six blocks for Rancho.

Garrett Linell had 25 assists, and Creed Laws supplied 14 kills to lead Legacy.

Cheyenne 3, Desert Pines 0 — At Cheyenne, Ryan Buchanan had 23 assists, four kills and four aces, and Brian Orellana added 18 assists and three aces as the Desert Shields swept the Jaguars 25-19, 25-8, 25-7.

Brandon Wilcoxson chipped in with four kills for Cheyenne.

Cimarron-Memorial 3, Liberty 0 — At Cimarron, Alex Olsen had 36 assists, and Limore Amor tallied nine kills, four digs and three aces as the Spartans held off the Patriots 25-23, 25-20, 25-23.

Jameson Valencia. supplied 13 kills for Cimarron. Martin Velasco tallied 26 assists, Atapana Malele-Faaifo had 16 digs, and Pascual Chavez supplied nine kills for Liberty.

Mojave 3, Eldorado 0 — At Mojave, Michael Jones had 16 assists, T.J. Blanchard had nine kills and the Rattlers rolled to a 25-17, 25-22, 25-17 victory over the Sundevils.

Samuel Torrence added six kills and four blocks for Mojave.

Christopher Garcia had 16 assists for Eldorado.

Centennial 3, Coronado 1 — At Centennial, Teon Taylor had 18 kills and seven blocks to lead the Bulldogs past the Cougars.

Farries Gardner added 13 kills and six blocks, and Justin Madsen had nine kills and eight digs for Centennial. Sam Durkin added 39 assists for the Bulldogs.

Ben Bloss led Coronado with 17 kills, seven digs, two aces and two blocks. Matt Wilson added 29 assists for the Cougars, and teammate Brian Wightman had eight digs.

Sky Pointe 3, Chaparral 0 — At Sky Pointe, Jaegen Driscoll had 12 kills, Carson Driscoll had five kills and four assists and Jaden MacFarlane had three aces in the Eagles’ 25-17, 25-17, 25-21 win over the Cowboys.
