ROUNDUP: Silva helps Rams stymie Jaguars

Guillermo Silva had 16 kills, five digs and three aces, and Kendall Reynolds dished out 20 assists Wednesday to help Rancho’s boys volleyball team post a 25-15, 23-25, 25-12, 25-23 win at Desert Pines.

R’Mond Hill tallied 13 kills and four aces, and Jerik Wasson added 17 assists for the Rams.

Justin Ngarmnet had 14 digs and 12 assists, and teammate Trevor Krystek tallied six kills, three blocks and two aces for the Jaguars.

Foothill 3, Basic 0 — At Foothill, Nick Stoker dished out 26 assists, and Kendall Andrews added 20 assists and five digs as the Falcons held off the Wolves, 29-27, 26-24, 25-21.

Raymond Buccat had nine digs and six kills, and Cale Hutchinson supplied six kills and six digs for Foothill.

Weston Crum had nine kills and five digs, and teammate Steven Stembridge tallied 10 assists for Basic, which got 10 digs from Sean-Michael Medina.

Green Valley 3, Del Sol 0 — At Green Valley, Donovan Santos distributed 30 assists and served three aces, and Jake Johnson supplied 10 kills and four blocks as the Gators swept the Dragons, 25-17, 25-18, 25-13.

Dimitri Santos added eight aces and five kills for Green Valley.

Jesse Brown tallied 13 digs, and Nathan Kirschbaum had seven kills for Del Sol.

Silverado 3, Liberty 0 — At Silverado, Dakota Relle tallied 32 assists, and Kyle Divicino spiked 12 kills to help the Skyhawks roll to a 25-8, 25-9, 25-15 sweep of the Patriots.

Joey Sharp-Halpin added six kills for Silverado.

Coronado 3, Tech 0 — At Tech, Connor Stephenson had 36 assists, two aces and two blocks to help the Cougars to a 25-21, 25-10, 25-16 win over the Roadrunners.

Matt Pettit added seven kills, six digs and two aces, and Tyler Cucullu supplied eight kills for Coronado.

Hector Galvan paced Tech with 18 assists and four kills. Dalton Webb spiked four kills, and Zach Gomez added eight digs for the Roadrunners.

Palo Verde 3, Cheyenne 0 — At Palo Verde, Trent Gneiting had 11 kills, and Vince Hipwell added seven kills as the Panthers cruised to a 25-10, 25-9, 25-21 sweep of the Desert Shields.

Andrew Westin had 27 assists for Palo Verde.

Deonte Perkins and Naeona George had five kills apiece for Cheyenne, which got nine digs from Vincent Aburto and eight assists from Audel Rodriguez.

Shadow Ridge 3, Arbor View 0 — At Shadow Ridge, Braden Taylor notched 16 assists, seven kills and five blocks to lead the Mustangs to a sweep of the Aggies, 25-18, 25-11, 25-13.

Tanner Maxwell added 15 kills and four aces for Shadow Ridge, and teammate Cody Tesoro contributed 25 digs and four aces.

Richie Garness had 15 assists and five kills for Arbor View, which got 32 digs from Derek Raider and 16 digs and five kills from Darrell Swanson.

Cimarron-Memorial 3, Mojave 0 — At Mojave, Kyle Henrikson had 11 kills, and Braydon Egbert added eight kills as the Spartans swept the Rattlers, 25-17, 25-16, 25-17.

Nate Starlin supplied five kills, and Devin Davis had 11 digs for Cimarron.

Centennial 3, Legacy 0 — At Centennial, Chet Durkin had 25 assists, and Cameron Hanselman provided eight kills as the Bulldogs rolled past the Longhorns, 25-14, 25-12, 25-5.

Bryce Paul added three kills for Centennial.

Justin Paquin and Isaiah Kahalewai-Purdy each had four kills for Legacy, which got three assists from Nathan Keith.
