ROUNDUP: Silva, Rams take down visiting Vikings

Guillermo Silva notched 14 kills Wednesday to help Rancho’s boys volleyball team claim a 25-21, 19-25, 25-21, 25-18 win over visiting Valley.

Nathon Campo put up 12 digs, and R’Mond Hill had eight kills for the Rams.

Jack Heavey totaled 14 kills, and Peter Nunes dished out 27 assists for the Vikings, who got 11 digs from David Delaney and eight kills from Matt Ballaro.

Bishop Gorman 3, Durango 0 — At Gorman, Matt Lychock tallied 16 assists and eight kills as the Gaels swept the Trailblazers, 25-19, 25-19, 25-15.

Jason Han added 10 digs, and Brian Fuimara had eight kills for Gorman, which got seven kills from Amadeous Sowa.

Dex Alston dished out 12 assists for Durango, which got 12 digs from Pedro Abrego.

Bonanza 3, Spring Valley 0 — At Spring Valley, Mitchell Barnes dished out 24 assists to help the Bengals roll past the Grizzlies, 25-12, 25-8, 25-19.

Brycen Duckworth put down 15 kills, and Kenny DeSoto added 28 digs for Bonanza.

Jim Tran had seven assists, and DeShaun Nowlin supplied five kills to lead Spring Valley.

Las Vegas 3, Eldorado 0 — At Eldorado, Garrett Jones had 11 kills to lead the Wildcats to a 25-9, 25-18, 25-11 sweep of the Sundevils.

Evany Diaz added 24 assists, and Jace Turner had eight kills and three blocks for Las Vegas.

Chaparral 3, Sunrise Mountain 0 — At Chaparral, Meldrick Nava had five kills and four aces, and Rian De Los Reyes added four kills, six aces and two blocks to lead the Cowboys to a 25-13, 25-11, 26-24 victory over the Miners.

Jesus Botello added four aces and nine digs for Chaparral.

Sierra Vista 3, Western 0 — At Western, Luis Meneses had six aces and three kills as the Mountain Lions swept the Warriors, 25-17, 25-16, 25-17.

Alec Demarris had nine kills, and Garrett Clifton spiked eight kills for Sierra Vista.

Vadell Wilson led Western with three kills and five blocks. Braeden Smith added four kills, and Reese Tillman supplied three blocks and two kills for the Warriors.

Desert Oasis 3, Clark 0 — At Desert Oasis, Austin Becker tallied 23 assists, two kills and five blocks to lead the Diamondbacks to a 25-21, 25-20, 25-22 sweep of the Chargers.

Alex Trillo added 11 digs and seven kills, and Taeler Bowen had nine kills and two blocks for Desert Oasis.

Taeg Williams dished out 22 assists for Clark. Raydell Perez added 11 kills, and Quartez Baugus had five kills and two blocks for the Chargers.

Canyon Springs 3, Desert Pines 0 — At Desert Pines, Adam Tuala had 14 kills and five aces, and Emmanuel Tufuga supplied 16 digs as the Pioneers rolled to a 25-16, 25-15, 25-19 win over the Jaguars.

Jon Jason Duhaylungsod distributed 12 assists for Canyon Springs, which got five aces from Eivan Nafarrete.

Trevor Krystek paced Desert Pines with 12 digs, 10 kills and two aces, and teammate Justin Ngarmnet added 18 assists.
