ROUNDUP: Western powers past Desert Oasis

Deion Harrell had 34 kills and 14 blocks Friday to lead Western’s boys volleyball team to a 25-9, 25-13, 25-21 win over visiting Desert Oasis.

Anterian Cannon added 16 kills and Brian Marshall 56 assists for the Warriors.

Alex Trillo led the Diamondbacks with four aces and two kills. Zach Bobenhausen added two kills and two blocks.

Coronado 3, Basic 0 — At Coronado, Hunter Chaney had 40 assists, eight digs and two aces to lead the Cougars to a 25-16, 25-16, 25-20 win over the Wolves.

Eric Boman added 16 kills and six digs and Bryan Arana had 10 kills and 11 digs for Coronado.

Jensen Lavallee had eight kills and Jordan Pils seven to lead Basic.

Silverado 3, Green Valley 0 — At Silverado, Casey Hadland had 28 assists, 11 digs and four blocks to lead the Skyhawks to a 25-16, 25-20, 25-18 win over the Gators.

Christian Espina added 14 kills for the Skyhawks, and teammate Justin Close had seven digs, four kills and three blocks.

Taylor Mitchell led Green Valley with 18 assists, Cameron Olsen had seven kills and Dallas Halasz added five kills.

Foothill 3, Del Sol 0 — At Foothill, Britain Rosenberg posted 24 assists to help the Falcons cruise past the Dragons, 25-18, 25-21, 25-15.

Cody Clay had 12 kills and three digs to help Foothill, and T.K. Golsten and Walter Coe added six kills apiece.

Liberty 3, Tech 0 — At Liberty, James Paras logged 15 assists and five kills to lead the Patriots past the Roadrunners, 25-23, 25-19, 25-23.

Samson Toalei had seven kills to help Liberty, and teammate Brendon Reano finished with six kills.

Johnny Wyrick had 14 kills, six digs and six blocks to lead Tech.

Las Vegas 3, Bonanza 0 — At Las Vegas, Aaron Hansen’s 19 kills, seven digs and four blocks helped the Wildcats to a 27-25, 25-22, 25-19 win over the Bengals.

Chris Millette added 18 digs for Las Vegas, and Danny Farias had 44 assists and five digs.

Andrew Whiting led Bonanza with 13 kills and 11 digs, and teammate Jason Bedford had 10 kills and 15 digs.

Spring Valley 3, Clark 1 — At Spring Valley, Kyle Christensen had 11 kills and nine blocks to lead the Grizzlies to a 25-23, 25-21, 26-24, 25-13 win over the Chargers.

Jeremy Geary added seven kills and seven digs for Spring Valley.

George Huang led Clark with four kills and 12 blocks.

Sierra Vista 3, Durango 0 — At Sierra Vista, Marvi Sanchez had 13 kills to lead the Mountain Lions to a 25-14, 25-14, 25-19 win over the Trailblazers.

Zach Waldron added 22 assists and four blocks and Cody Seager had four kills for Sierra Vista.

Shadow Ridge 3, Cimarron-Memorial 0  — At Cimarron, Jeremy Makaiwi had 38 assists and Ryan Nolan had 13 kills and seven blocks to lead the Mustangs past the Spartans, 25-12, 25-20, 25-14.

Joseph Pearson added nine kills and eight blocks for Shadow Ridge.

Triton Manumaleuna had six kills and nine digs to lead Cimarron. Scott Beckwith added six kills and eight digs for the Spartans.

Palo Verde 3, Legacy 0 — At Palo Verde, Matt Lish had 27 assists to help to Panthers beat the Longhorns, 25-11, 25-19, 25-13.

Drew Topham had nine kills to help Palo Verde, and Nick Hipwell added eight kills.

Ben Noel led Legacy with seven assists.

Centennial 3, Arbor View 0 — At Arbor View, Matt Kurtz had 12 kills and eight digs as the Bulldogs rolled to a 25-17, 25-10, 25-16 win over the Aggies.

Jeff Mecham had 32 assists for Centennial.

Cheyenne 3, Mojave 0 — At Cheyenne, Jose Orellana had eight assists to help the Desert Shields defeat the Rattlers, 25-10, 25-17, 25-5.

Cheyenne’s Brandon Jackson had six aces and three kills, and Neil Larson added three kills, two assists and two aces.
