VOLLEYBALL: Afoa, Diamondbacks rally by Vikings

Saunoa Afoa had 18 kills and three blocks Monday to help Desert Oasis’ boys volleyball team rally for an 18-25, 25-17, 17-25, 30-28, 15-7 victory over visiting Valley.
Nainoa Gardner added 15 kills and six digs, and teammate Bryson Sadama had nine digs for the Diamondbacks.
Marty Heavey had 17 kills, six digs and three aces to lead Valley.Alex Sandoval added 38 assists, nine digs and two aces, and teammate Jared Marchello had nine kills, seven digs and three blocks for the Vikings.
Bonanza 3, Las Vegas 1 — At Bonanza, Andrew Jensen had 13 kills, nine digs and four blocks to lead the Bengals past the Wildcats, 25-17. 25-16, 25-27, 25-19.
Bronson Duckworth had 16 kills and five blocks, and teammate Robby Adair had six kills and seven digs for Bonanza. Luis Raygoza added 42 assists for the Bengals.
Las Vegas’ Alli Stewart had 10 kills, and Ryan Magante had nine kills and eight digs for the Wildcats. Luis Wong had 17 assists, and Antonio Wong had 15 digs forLas Vegas.
Legacy 3, Foothill 0 — At Legacy, Zaire Franklin had 10 kills, five digs and two blocks to lead the Longhorns to a 25-15, 25-23, 25-17 sweep of the Falcons.
Legacy’s Omari Wheeler had seven kills and two blocks, and Anthony Delgado added 25 assists and four aces for the Longhorns.
Foothill’s Shilo Chow had 24 assists and five digs, and Colin Curi added eight kills for the Falcons, who got five kills from Jonny Rolle.
Centennial 3, Canyon Springs 0 — At Centennial, Grant Nelson had 21 assists and three aces to lead the Bulldogs over the Pioneers, 25-11, 25-6, 25-10.
Centennial’s Tanner Durkin added 17 kills, and Cody Graham had five aces for the Bulldogs.
Liberty 3, Cimarron-Memorial 0 — At Cimarron, Ryan Taggert had eight kills to lead the Patriots past the Spartans, 25-12, 25-8, 25-5.
Ryan Tobias had seven kills for Liberty, and teammate Hugo Hernandez added 10 assists and two aces.
