VOLLEYBALL: Canyon Springs outlasts Eldorado in five sets

Sho Hampton dished out 57 assists, and Canyon Springs’ boys volleyball team rallied for a 25-20, 19-25, 21-25, 27-25, 15-8 victory over host Eldorado on Wednesday.
Sirron White had 14 kills, six blocks and five aces, and Celso Balmes added 35 digs for the Pioneers.
Tim Lawson led Eldorado with 29 assists and five blocks.
Luciano Ronquillo had 19 digs, and Adrian Evans notched 13 kills for the Sundevils.
Chaparral 3, Western 2 — At Chaparral, Quentin Beverly had 13 kills and four blocks to lead the Cowboys to a 26-24, 20-25, 25-21, 18-25, 15-13 win over Western.
Jacob Frisch added 11 kills and five aces, and teammate Chris Chavarria had eight kills for Chaparral. Sam Realica had four kills and nine aces for the Cowboys.
Anthony Dodson led Western with 16 kills. Christian Macias added 16 assists for the Warriors.
Las Vegas 3, Valley 1 — At Valley, Shaun Kampshoff had 14 assists, 12 kills and eight digs, and Elliott Silveira added 16 assists and seven digs as the Widcats topped the Vikings, 14-25, 25-8, 25-17, 25-16.
Brandon Kampshoff had 12 kills, and Kyle Monton supplied 11 digs for Las Vegas.
Justin Sandoval passed out 18 assists for Valley, which also got nine kills and four aces from Isaac Frazier and four kills and three aces from Juan De Dios-Magana.
Hunter Harp added eight digs for Valley.
Durango 3, Bonanza 1 — At Durango, Jaylen Clark notched 19 kills, seven digs and six aces, and Andre Shabazz added 36 assists, seven digs and two aces as the Trailblazers downed the Bengals, 25-20, 22-25, 25-13, 25-13.
Tim Kedrowski had 10 kills, two assists and two blocks for Durango.
Paolo Luchs had 13 kills, two aces and five digs for Bonanza. James Mead added 24 assists for the Bengals, who also got five kills from Mark Thuet and four kills from Mataio Valoaja.
Tech 3, Del Sol 1 — At Del Sol, Gary Johnson had 11 kills, and Zach Draper added eight kills to lead the Roadrunners to a 25-16, 24-26, 25-20, 25-22 win over the Dragons.
Collin Faught dished out 23 assists for Tech.
Alejandro Marin and Angel Vargas had eight kills apiece to lead Del Sol. Alan Ramos-Flores had 23 assists, and Clinton Cavosora added nine digs for the Dragons.
Bishop Gorman 3, Clark 0 — At Clark, Anthony Leach had nine digs and six kills to lead the Gaels to a 25-10, 25-14, 25-18 win over the Chargers.
Isaiah Cottrell supplied six blocks, five kills and five blocks, and Luke Bradford added seven kills, five assists and five digs for Gorman.
Kizihonie Blunt supplied nine digs and seven kills, and teammate Carlos Alvarez added 11 assists to pace Clark.
Mojave 3, Cheyenne 0 — At Mojave, Antonyo Wright had 13 kills, and Juan Valdez finished with 20 assists in the Rattlers’ 25-15, 25-19, 25-17 victory over the Desert Shields.
Daronde McKinney added four kills for Mojave.
Tyler Buchanan led Cheyenne with 15 kills, and teammate Brandon Willcoxson had four kills.
Sunrise Mountain 3, Desert Pines 0 — At Sunrise Mountain, Elijah Bright had nine digs, and Pedro Morales tallied seven kills as the Miners swept the Jaguars, 25-21, 25-17, 25-22.
Emerald Acasili added three aces for Sunrise Mountain.
Joshua Moran notched seven digs and three kills to lead Desert Pines. Heriberto Mireles supplied five digs and three assists, and Leonel Rincon had four digs and three kills for the Jaguars.
