VOLLEYBALL: Charles Pollnow, Bishop Gorman knock off Las Vegas

Charles Pollnow had 20 kills, 12 digs, four blocks and two aces Thursday as Bishop Gorman’s boys volleyball team rallied for a 24-26, 25-19, 21-25, 25-18, 15-11 road win over Las Vegas.

Will Hafen had 15 kills, 16 digs and four blocks for the Gaels, and Trevor Papcock had 42 assists 14 digs and two blocks.

Gorman’s Daniel Johnson added 13 blocks, and Ray Leon had eight kills and two blocks.

Shaun Kampshoff had 15 kills, 20 assists and 14 digs for the Wildcats, and Brandon Kampshoff had 15 kills. Teammate Kyle Monton added 24 digs.

Centennial 3, Green Valley 0 — At Green Valley, Kade Frischknecht had 15 kills, four aces and nine digs as the Bulldogs swept the defending state champions, 25-22, 25-24, 25-16.

Farries Gardner had 12 kills and eight digs, and Sam Durkin dished out 19 assists for Centennial, which also got eight digs from Stephen Hitchcock.

Durango 3, Clark 0 — At Clark, Andre Shabazz supplied 14 assists and five aces in the Trailblazers’ 25-12, 25-17, 25-21 win over the Chargers.

Tai Foster had seven kills, and Filip Bosnajak added seven kills for Durango.

Nicko Babilonia notched 10 digs to lead Clark.

Shadow Ridge 3, Rancho 0 — At Shadow Ridge, C.J. McInnis supplied 20 assists, eight digs and four aces to lead the Mustangs to a 25-13, 25-13, 25-9 sweep of the Rams.

Sebastian Campos added eight kills for Shadow Ridge.

Cameron Corcran supplied 19 assists, and Brennan Berti had eight kills for Rancho.

Desert Oasis 3, Bonanza 0 — At Desert Oasis, Liam Morrissey had six kills and six blocks to lead the Diamondbacks to a sweep of the Bengals, 26-24, 25-21, 25-11.

RsShawn Dean added six kills and three blocks, Cooper Lund had six kills, and David Toole had five kills and four digs.

Tyler Sadama dished out 13 assists with nine digs, and Joshua Sadama dished out 16 assists and five digs for the Diamondbacks.

Basic 3, Eldorado 0 — At Basic, Dylan Callister had five kills and three aces to lead the Wolves to a 25-16, 25-10, 25-7 win over the Sundevils.

Matt Gajeski added one kill, 22 assists and four aces for Basic.

Liberty 3, Del Sol 1 — At Liberty, Lucas Husli had nine kills, and Tanner Billiu added four kills and four blocks as the Patriots defeated the Dragons, 25-15, 25-11, 23-25, 25-18.

Hugo Hernandez had three kills, 12 assists, two aces and one block, and Dominic Merten notched 11 digs for Liberty.

Yerovys Vargas-Gill had 10 kills for Del Sol. Alan Ramos-Flores added 14 assists, and teammate Malcolm James had four blocks for the Dragons.

Sierra Vista 3, Spring Valley 0 — At Spring Valley, Croix Reganit had seven kills, four aces and four digs to lead the Mountain Lions to a 25-12, 25-12, 25-22 win over the Grizzlies.

Lerone Gibson added 10 kills for Sierra Vista.

Jacob Teems-Robinson and Jeremiah Teems-Robinson each had four kills to lead Spring Valley.
