VOLLEYBALL: Liberty boys rally to top Basic

Jaden Roberts had 13 kills, and Braden Cabais added 26 assists as the Liberty boys volleyball team came from behind to beat host Basic 22-25, 25-23, 25-21, 25-20 on Wednesday in a Southeast League match.

Alex Tejada added seven kills for Liberty.

Will Fitzpatrick supplied 16 kills, and Taylor Dyer had 35 assists to lead Basic.

Foothill 3, Eldorado 0 — At Foothill, Taeg Williams dished out 31 assists, and Chansten Chow provided 15 kills and four blocks as the Falcons swept the Sundevils 25-17, 25-15, 25-16.

Coronado 3, Del Sol 0 — At Coronado, Coltin Romney had 14 kills, seven digs and two aces as the Cougars blanked the Dragons 25-12, 25-17, 25-7.

Logan Dickover had 31 assists, and teammate Timmy McMoore-Tuamoheloa added five kills and two blocks for Coronado.

La’akea Cabanas had two kills, six assists and two digs, and Deavan Holcomb chipped in with two kills and five blocks for Del Sol. Jesse Brown led the Dragons defense with 12 digs.

Bishop Gorman 3, Desert Oasis 2 — At Gorman, Amadeus Sowa recorded 19 kills, 17 digs and three blocks, and Cody Tom had 44 assists and nine digs as the Gaels edged the Diamondbacks 20-25, 25-18, 17-25, 25-20, 16-14.

Anthony Pitaro added 12 kills, six blocks and four digs for Gorman.

Centennial 3, Cimarron-Memorial 1— At Centennial, Chet Durkin notched 40 assists, and Blake Frischknecht added 19 kills as the Bulldogs rallied to down the Spartans 22-25, 25-13, 25-17, 25-20.

Hunter Stratton chipped in with 14 kills and three aces for Centennial.

Kyle Henriksen led Cimarron with 10 kills, and teammate Salvador Garcia added seven kills and six digs. Taylor Larsen had 25 assists, while Efrain Ambriz contributed five kills and four digs for the Spartans.

Legacy 3, Bonanza 0 — At Bonanza, Tanner Compton had 11 kills, five digs and three aces, and Zaire Franklin added nine kills and seven digs to lift the Longhorns to a 25-20, 25-13, 25-15 win over the Bengals.

Chaparral 3, Sunrise Mountain 0 — At Sunrise Mountain, Pierce Morgan had 23 assists, nine aces and two blocks as the Cowboys swept the Miners 25-23, 25-20, 25-3.

Matt Sanger added nine kills for Chaparral.

Tech 3, Desert Pines 0 — At Desert Pines, Tyler Gardenhire had 19 kills, 10 digs and two blocks, and the visiting Roadrunners swept the Jaguars 25-18, 25-23, 25-16.

Josh Wood finished with 19 assists, three kills and five digs, and Miguel Garcia added nine assists, seven digs and three kills for Tech. Teammate Bryan Catenza totaled five kills and digs.

Bryan Garcia had 23 assists, 16 digs, three blocks and two aces for Desert Pines, which got eight kills from Travis Nofoa.
