VOLLEYBALL: Palo Verde defeats visiting Las Vegas in four sets

Palo Verde’s Haden Van Orden had 31 assists and 17 digs Tuesday to lead the Panthers’ boys volleyball team to a 25-13, 25-10, 23-25, 25-18 win over visiting Las Vegas.
Stephen Banks added eight kills, four aces and three blocks, and Scott Solan had 12 kills and four aces for Palo Verde, which got 16 digs from Zach Nelson.
Shaun Kampshoff led Las Vegas with 10 assists, nine kills and eight digs. Brandon Kampshoff provided 13 kills and seven digs, and teammate Kyle Monton had 13 digs and three aces for the Wildcats.
Centennial 3, Coronado 1 — At Coronado, Kade Frischknecht had 28 kills and six digs to help the Bulldogs to a 25-20, 31-29, 20-25, 25-23 win over the Cougars.
Farries Gardner had 14 kills and five digs, and Sam Belnap dished out 39 assists for Centennial.
Nik Purser led Coronado with 19 kills, three aces and 10 digs. Ryan Garlick had 21 kills and 13 digs, and Matt Wilson had four kills and 57 assists for the Cougars, who got 20 digs from Andrew Corrales.
Bishop Gorman 3, Sierra Vista 0 — At Sierra Vista, Trevor Papcock notched 28 assists and three blocks, and Blake Weissman had four kills and three digs as the Gaels defeated the Mountain Lions, 25-16, 25-19, 25-21.
William Daley added four kills for Gorman.
Chevy Eliu had 11 digs for Sierra Vista.
Desert Oasis 3, Valley 0 — At Desert Oasis, Liam Morrissey had four kills and four blocks, and Cooper Lund added five kills to lead the Diamondbacks to a 25-21, 25-13, 28-26 victory over the Vikings.
David Toole had four kills and six digs, and Joshua Sadama added 14 assists for Desert Oasis, which also got eight assists and seven digs from Tyler Sadama.
Isaac Frazier led Valley with six kills. Noah Sutton had four blocks, and Hunter Harp had nine digs for the Vikings.
Durango 3, Spring Valley 0 — At Durango, Jaylen Clark had 14 kills and nine digs to lead the Trailblazers to a 25-15, 25-14, 25-6 win over the Grizzlies.
Andre Shabazz added 25 assists, two kills and three aces, and Filip Bosnajak had five kills, two aces and 11 digs for Durango.
Syed Husain and Dustin Cuayzon each had six digs for Spring Valley.
Legacy 3, Liberty 0 — At Legacy, Christian Brown had 11 assists, 10 kills, six digs and two aces to spark the Longhorns to a 25-18, 25-23, 27-25 sweep of the Patriots.
Matthew Cook added 16 assists, five digs and two aces, and Creed Laws had seven kills and two assists for Legacy.
Bonanza 3, Clark 0 — At Bonanza, Paolo Luchs had 12 kills, six aces and six digs, and James Mead dished out 27 assists as the Bengals swept the Chargers, 25-19, 25-9, 25-20.
Kadin Warner had eight kills, two aces and two blocks, and Victor Fajardo supplied five kills and two aces for Bonanza.
Kizihonie Blunt had 11 digs, eight kills and two blocks, and Christopher Ramirez tallied 12 assists and six digs for Clark. Nicko Babilonia added 11 digs for the Chargers.
Eldorado 3, Western 0 — At Eldorado, Tim Lawson had 13 assists, and Jovany Sosa added five assists and two aces to help the Sundevils sweep the Warriors, 25-12, 25-17, 25-17.
Luciano Ronquillo had five digs for Eldorado.
Christian Macias had 12 assists, and Anthony Dodson notched 11 kills for Western.
Basic 3, Sunrise Mountain 0 — At Basic, Matt Gajeski provided 17 assists to lead the Wolves to a 25-12, 25-7, 25-10 sweep of the Miners.
Dylan Callister had eight kills, and Jacob Fulton added five kills for Basic.
