VOLLEYBALL: Rams hold off Trailblazers

Martin Rodriguez had 16 kills, and Aaron Robles racked up 39 assists and 11 digs on Wednesday as Rancho’s boys volleyball team outlasted visiting Durango, 25-14, 23-25, 25-21, 20-25, 15-11.

Vladimir Veynovich had six aces and five kills, and Austin Moncrief added eight digs for the Rams.

Michael Diggins had 18 kills, and Andre Shabazz dished out 31 assists for the Trailblazers, who also got four blocks from Dillon Lovera and four aces from Jaylen Clark.

Las Vegas 3, Foothill 0 — At Foothill, Chris Kampshoff had nine kills and eight digs to help the Wildcats to a 25-9, 25-23, 25-15 sweep of the Falcons.

T.J. Esporsa had 10 kills, and Chris Marx added nine kills for Las Vegas, which got 33 assists and three blocks from Shayne Marquez.

Colin Curi had five kills, eight digs and two blocks to pace Foothill. Trevor Robison added six kills and four digs, and Ian Ellis supplied five blocks for the Falcons.

Arbor View 3, Mojave 0 — At Mojave, Darien Bradley had 12 kills, five digs and two blocks to lead the Aggies to a 25-15, 25-13, 25-13 victory over the Rattlers.

Nick Kastenholz added six aces and two blocks for Arbor View.

Clayton Fontano had seven kills and two aces for Mojave, which also got 13 digs from Lorenzo Guerrero.

Palo Verde 3, Coronado 0 — At Palo Verde, Andrew Weston had 20 assists and two aces and Brigham Clawson supplied five kills and four aces to help the Panthers sweep the Cougars 25-12, 25-16, 25-19.

Greg Kinney added six kills for Palo Verde.

Logan Dickover led Coronado with 22 assists and seven digs, and teammate Max Osmundson notched nine kills. Travis Boman added seven kills for the Cougars.

Bonanza 3, Sierra Vista 0 — At Bonanza, Joshua Lee notched 21 assists, and Brian Clow had 11 kills and four digs to help the Bengals down the Mountain Lions, 25-9, 25-13, 25-22.

Andrew Jensen totaled nine kills, four aces and four digs, and Alec Taylor supplied 10 assists for Bonanza.

Basic 3, Canyon Springs 0 — At Basic, Austin Farrington supplied 21 digs and 11 kills, and teammate Taylor Dyer had 15 assists to lead the Wolves to a 25-11, 25-9, 25-15 win over the Pioneers.

Gaspar Gonzalez notched two digs for Canyon Springs.

Spring Valley 3, Western 0 — At Western, James Nunez passed out 15 assists, and Mike Manukyan tallied nine aces, six kills and two digs as the Grizzlies swept the Warriors, 25-15, 25-5, 25-23.

Bradd Robison notched four aces, four kills and four blocks, and Troy Lance added five kills and three blocks for Spring Valley.

Thomas Morris had four blocks for Western.
