VOLLEYBALL: Skyhawks rally to beat Rams in five sets

Kris Coe had 11 kills and nine blocks to help the Silverado boys volleyball team rally for a 10-25, 21-25, 25-22, 25-23, 19-17 win at Rancho on Wednesday.

Taz Goon added 10 kills, 16 digs and three blocks for the Skyhawks. Cody Steckel had 40 assists, 10 digs, four kills and two blocks, and Devin Ross had 10 kills, eight digs and three blocks for Silverado.

Lamont Traylor led the Rams with 37 kills and five blocks, and teammate Prince Batra had 10 kills and two assists.

Arbor View 3, Coronado 0 — At Coronado, Treven Clizbe had 18 kills to help the Aggies to a 25-20, 25-16, 25-22 sweep of the Cougars.

Brenden Wagner had 16 kills, and Brenden Gougeon dished out 29 assists for Arbor View, which got 11 digs from Michael Prescia.

Matt Wilson had 13 assists, and Ryan Garlick added five kills for Coronado. J.J. Meath served five aces for the Cougars.

Palo Verde 3, Las Vegas 0 — At Las Vegas, Haden Van Orden dished out 28 assists to lead the Panthers to a 25-16, 25-23, 25-13 sweep of the Wildcats.

Grant Tingley supplied six kills and four blocks, and Scott Solan had seven kills for Palo Verde.

Raymond Magante led Las Vegas with 14 digs. Kyle Monton had 13 kills, and Shaun Kampshoff added seven kills for the Wildcats.

Cimarron-Memorial 3, Desert Pines 0 — At Cimarron, Fred Tito had nine kills and five blocks to help the Spartans sweep the Jaguars, 25-13, 25-19, 25-20.

Erick Forbush had nine kills and two aces, and Cody Brown had 16 digs for the Spartans, who also got six kills and two aces from Jameson Valencia.

Estanislao Lansangan had nine assists and five kills, and Carlos Flores notched seven kills and four blocks for Desert Pines.

Del Sol 3, Cheyenne 0 — At Cheyenne, Blane Quitog had seven kills and four aces to help the Dragons to a 25-13, 25-15, 25-23 sweep of the Desert Shields.

Nate Bryan added three kills and eight aces, and Anthony Nehme had five kills for Del Sol, which got four kills from Ramadan Yonas.

Tyler Buchanan led Cheyenne with 10 kills.

Valley 3, Eldorado 0 — At Eldorado, Justin Sandoval had 27 assists and six aces as the Vikings swept the Sundevils, 25-12, 25-6, 25-21.

Marty Heavey put down 14 kills, and Jared Marchello had 11 kills for Valley.

Green Valley 3, Centennial 0 — At Green Valley, Dustin Elliott had 14 kills, three aces and six digs to help the Gators to a 25-16, 27-25, 28-26 win over the Bulldogs.

Zachary Hewitt added 34 assists and two aces for Green Valley.
