VOLLEYBALL: Traylor helps Rancho boys rally past Las Vegas

Lamont Traylor had 12 kills and five blocks on Friday to help Rancho’s boys volleyball team outlast visiting Las Vegas, 17-25, 25-14, 24-26, 26-24, 15-10.

Martin Rodriguez had 10 kills, six digs and three blocks, and Douglas Candido added 35 assists, 12 digs and two aces for the Rams, who got 15 digs from Jeffrey Camal.

Ryan Magante had 10 kills and 17 digs to lead Las Vegas, and Alli Stewart added 12 kills and eight digs for the Wildcats. Royce Reyes supplied five kills, 29 assists and two blocks, and Antonio Wong had 17 digs and two aces for Las Vegas.

Shadow Ridge 3, Green Valley 0 — At Green Valley, N.J. Makaiwi had 27 assists, 10 digs and six aces to lead the Mustangs over the Gators, 25-12, 25-22, 25-23.

Jacob Ludwig had seven kills and three blocks, and teammate Quinn Peterson had six kills and seven digs for Shadow Ridge. A.J. Makaiwi recorded 20 digs for the Mustangs.

Green Valley’s Chase Larson notched eight kills, and Zachary Hewitt had 16 assists and eight digs for the Gators.

Bonanza 3, Liberty 0 — At Bonanza, Andrew Jensen had 14 kills and five digs to lead the Bengals over the Patriots, 25-10, 25-21, 29-27.

Robby Adair had six kills, four aces and seven digs, and teammate Justin Michela recorded 10 kills for Bonanza. Luis Raygoza notched 33 assists for the Bengals.

Ryan Taggert had six kills and two blocks for Liberty. Mike Meatovich had five kills and two blocks for the Patriots.

Eldorado 3, Western 0 — At Eldorado, Dylan Richardson had 22 assists to lead the Sundevils to a 25-12, 25-20, 25-15 win over the Warriors.

Dakota Shults had 12 kills, and teammate Charles Sweet had five blocks for Eldorado.

William Riggs had 11 assists to lead Western. Sky Tillmond added five kills for the Warriors.

Canyon Springs 3, Cheyenne 0 — At Cheyenne, Maurice Hunter had two kills and two blocks to help the Pioneers defeat the Desert Shields, 27-25, 25-18, 25-22.

Bryan Castro and Gabriel Decay each had three aces and two assists for Canyon Springs.

Oliver Schmidtke had three blocks, Gaspar Gonzalez had two kills and Juan Cabral added two digs for the Pioneers.
