VOLLEYBALL: Will Hafen leads Gaels to four-set win over Sierra Vista

Will Hafen had 16 kills and four aces Monday to help Bishop Gorman’s boys volleyball team to a 25-13, 25-19, 23-25, 25-16 victory over visiting Sierra Vista.

Charles Pollnow had 11 kills and eight digs, and Trevor Papock had 39 assists and 18 digs for the Gaels.

Chevy Eliu led the Mountain Lions with 16 digs.

Western 3, Sunrise Mountain 1 — At Western, Christian Macias had five aces, four kills, 14 assists and two blocks in the Warriors’ 25-16, 25-20, 21-25, 25-22 win over the Miners.

Anthony Dodson had 15 kills, two aces and a block for Western, and teammate Brandon Grajeda had four kills.

Mojave 3, Tech 0 — At Mojave, Antonyo Wright had 11 kills to lead the Rattlers past the Roadrunners, 25-16, 25-12, 25-16.

Joseph Silva had 10 kills, Juan Valdez had 29 assists, and Josh Andam added 16 digs for Mojave.

Haakon Hunsaker had five kills, and Collin Faught had 12 assists to lead Tech.

Arbor View 3, Desert Oasis 0 — At Arbor View, Treven Clizbe had 11 kills and nine aces, and Carson Driscoll dished out 26 assists in the Aggies’ 25-12, 25-15, 25-23 win over the Diamondbacks.

Brenden Wagner added nine kills, and Steven Rasmussen had three blocks for Arbor View.

Tyler Sadama had seven assists and four digs, and Colin Bracchi had three kills for Desert Oasis.

Durango 3, Spring Valley 0 — At Spring Valley, Jaylen Clark had seven kills, seven aces and 10 digs to lead the Trailblazers to a 25-13, 25-16, 25-13 victory over the Grizzlies.

Tim Kedrowski added three kills, 14 assists and four digs, and Tai Foster had four kills and one ace for Durango.

Spring Valley’s Syed Husain had eight digs, and Michael Daniel added four digs for the Grizzlies.

Rancho 3, Eldorado 0 — At Eldorado, Brennan Berti had eight aces, eight kills and four blocks as the Rams rolled to a 25-12, 25-14, 25-15 sweep of the Sundevils.

Jesus Gonzalez had 18 assists, Cameron Corcran had 10 assists, and Tristan King had 10 kills and three aces for Rancho.

Eldorado’s Adrian Evans had three kills. Luciana Ronquillo had six digs, and teammate Keyunte Schroeder had six blocks for the Sundevils.

Bonanza 3, Clark 0 — At Clark, Mataio Valoaja had 12 kills to lead the Bengals to a 25-14, 25-13, 26-24 sweep of the Chargers.

Paolo Luchs had 10 kills and four digs, James Mead had 20 assists and six aces, and Kadin Warner had five kills for Bonanza.

Cheyenne 3, Del Sol 0 — At Del Sol, Tyler Buchanan had 16 kills to power the Desert Shields to a 25-17, 25-21, 25-20 victory over the Dragons.

Anthony Walker added seven kills, and Brian Orellana had 27 assists for Cheyenne.

Malcolm James led Del Sol with seven kills and six blocks.

Las Vegas 3, Canyon Springs 0 — At Canyon Springs, Shaun Kampshoff had six kills and eight assists to lead the Wildcats past the Pioneers, 25-9, 25-17, 25-19.

Jon Sosa had five kills and 50 assists for the Wildcats.

Chaparral 3, Desert Pines 2 — At Desert Pines, Sam Sala had nine kills and three aces, and Chris Chavarria added 10 kills to help the Cowboys outlast the Jaguars, 25-21, 15-25, 25-17, 13-25, 15-11.

Jacob Frisch and Sam Realica each had 10 assists for Chaparral.

Joshua Moran had nine kills and four aces to lead Desert Pines. Luiz Rodriguez had six kills and two aces, and Heriberto Mireles had four kills, three assists and seven digs for the Jaguars.
