GIRLS VOLLEYBALL: Atanoa, Chargers edge Warriors

Emi Atanoa had 19 kills and three aces, and Victoria Gordon added 12 kills and three aces Thursday to lead Clark’s girls volleyball team to a 25-16, 18-25, 25-11, 24-26, 15-13 win at Western.

Angel Jamerson dished out 38 assists, and June Roberts supplied 10 kills for the Chargers.

Destiny Gonzalez had five kills and eight blocks, and Paea Sovou added two kills, four assists and three aces for the Warriors.

Valley 3, Canyon Springs 2 — At Canyon Springs, Gabby Cabanero had 15 kills and five digs, and Taylor Sandhu added 29 assists and six digs as the Vikings outlasted the Pioneers, 24-26, 25-19, 21-25, 25-10, 15-9.

Corinne Burton had eight kills and two digs, and Liza Aperacho added seven aces and five digs for Valley.

Maureen Talice paced Canyon Springs with seven kills, three aces and five blocks, and teammate Tea Rivera had six assists and six digs.

Mojave 3, Cheyenne 1 — At Cheyenne, Rayena Rael had 25 assists and five aces, and Pamela Martin supplied 11 kills and five aces as the Rattlers topped the Desert Shields, 21-25, 25-23, 25-17, 31-29.

Keyah Hall had five kills and five blocks, and Jazmine Harris added 18 digs for Mojave.

Ebony Cavaco had 18 assists, and Bria Buchanan added 13 kills for Cheyenne.

Desert Oasis 3, Cimarron-Memorial 1 — At Desert Oasis, Lauren Rios had nine kills and three aces, and Kaylee Burknicer added five kills to help the Diamondbacks to a 20-25, 28-26, 25-18, 25-16 win over the Spartans.

Destiny Heidelberg had four kills, and Ariel Blockovich supplied four aces for Desert Oasis.

Zaquae Downton had eight kills and three digs, and Priscilla Bennett added 13 assists and four aces for Cimarron. Katie Curran had five kills and three aces, and Emily Bennett contributed three kills, three aces and four digs for the Spartans.

Silverado 3, Rancho 0 — At Silverado, Melanie Srok had 11 kills, four blocks and eight digs to lead the Skyhawks in the 25-9, 25-21, 25-12 sweep over the Rams.

Morgan Little had 17 assists and 10 digs, and Amari Norris supplied six kills and four digs for Silverado, which got 12 digs from Quinntana Reid.

Danielle Carino had five kills and five assists, and Kayla Coles added four kills and four assists for Rancho. Monet Wilson had 11 assists for the Rams.

Bonanza 3, Legacy 0 — At Legacy, Sophie Cram had 17 kills, six digs and four blocks to lead the Bengals to a 25-22, 25-17, 25-22 victory over the Longhorns.

Sammie Spelman had 10 kills, 15 digs and five aces, and Hailey Huntsman had 35 assists and eight aces for Bonanza, which got 27 digs from Ellyn Hirabayshi.

Emily Valerio led Legacy with 19 assists, 10 digs and three aces. Ashly Goor had 11 kills and five digs, and Sydney Christensen added 15 digs for the Longhorns.

Green Valley 3, Las Vegas 0 — At Green Valley, Nikki Drost recorded 15 kills, six digs and three aces to lead the Gators past the Wildcats, 25-19, 25-18, 25-13.

Shanna Olsen had 12 kills, eight digs and two blocks, and Bridgette Dwyer posted 10 kills, two blocks and two aces for Green Valley, which got 32 assists from Alley Seidler.

L’tiah Davis recorded three kills and four blocks for the Wildcats. Shaleea Butler had five kills, and teammate Samantha Remer contributed 11 digs for Las Vegas.

Faith Lutheran 3, Pahrump Valley 0 — At Faith Lutheran, Cayla Nikodemus had 10 kills, and Morgan Hill had nine kills as the Crusaders swept the Trojans, 25-9, 25-8, 25-11.

Megan Panikkar had 17 assists, five digs and four aces, and Megan Kronschnabel added 12 assists for Faith Lutheran.

Agassi Prep 3, Adelson School 0 — At Adelson, the Stars swept the Lions, 25-19, 25-12, 25-21.
