GIRLS VOLLEYBALL: Del Sol rallies to stun Desert Pines in five sets

Sierra Brooks had seven kills, and Julia Calvez had seven digs Wednesday as Del Sol’s girls volleyball team rallied for a 16-25, 23-25, 25-22, 26-24, 15-7 road victory over Desert Pines.
Genessa Galibut added six assists for the Dragons.
Brianna Fitzgerald led Desert Pines with 10 kills, four aces and four blocks. Vira Tavita had five kills and four blocks, and Ani’ya Manghum added four assists for the Jaguars.
Durango 3, Las Vegas 1 — At Durango, Makenzi Abelman dished out 33 assists to lead the Trailblazers over the Wildcats, 25-18, 25-10, 21-25, 25-11.
Naomi Harris added 16 kills, and Anuhea Faitau had 12 digs, nine aces and eight kills for Durango.
Anna Dobbins had 18 digs for Las Vegas, and teammate Victoria Barney added 14 assists, seven digs and four kills.
Coronado 3, Centennial 0 — At Coronado, Safana Boutahiri had 13 kills and seven digs, and Madison Karcich added 10 kills, two aces and 20 digs to lead the Cougars to a 25-21, 25-17, 25-18 win over the Bulldogs.
Shannon Evans had nine kills, and McCallister Gayle added eight kills for Coronado. Skyler Muramoto and Dallas Balanay-Flores each added 21 assists for the Cougars.
Danyale Berry led Centennial with eight kills, two aces and four blocks. Talie Bonds notched eight kills, 11 assists and 13 digs, and Elaina Young had eight digs for the Bulldogs.
