GIRLS VOLLEYBALL: Faith Lutheran outlasts Arbor View in five sets

Mary Vancura’s 53 assists and 13 digs powered home-standing Faith Lutheran to a 3-2 win over Arbor View in a thriller Friday, 27-25, 25-10, 13-25, 20-25, 15-13.

Tayah Washingon had 15 kills and 13 digs for the Crusaders, Sydney Washington had 13 kills and four digs, and Elizabeth Tuls and 12 kills and six blocks. Logan Van Rekken added 22 digs.

For the Aggies, Alyson Jeeves had 51 assists and four aces, and Trinity Chen had eight kills, five blocks and four aces. Sarah Goddard added 21 kills.

Shadow Ridge 3, Centennial 1 — At Shadow Ridge, Autumn Spendlove’s 42 assists helped carry the Mustangs to a 25-18, 18-25, 25-23, 25-12 victory.

Kizzy Rodriguez had 16 digs, 11 kills and six aces for the Mustangs, and Whittnee Nihipali recorded 16 kills and 12 digs.

For Centennial, Tallie Bonds had 18 assists, 10 digs, and five kills. Danyale Berry had 13 kills and four digs, Natalie Starlin had nine kills and Siara Roberts had seven assists.

Green Valley 3, Durango 1 — At Durango, Rachel Klopfer had 26 kills and 20 digs, and Abigail Olsen added 47 assists and 10 digs to lead the Gators to a 25-19, 25-18, 23-25, 25-23 win over the Trailblazers.

Anya Olsen had 15 kills, and Maya Hill notched five blocks for Green Valley, which also got 20 digs from Emily Flowers.

Hailey Kraft led Durango with 18 kills and 17 digs. Angelise Lopez had 20 digs, and Makenzi Abelman dished out 29 assists for the Trailblazers.

Pahranagat Valley 3, Indian Springs 0 — At Indian Springs, Madison Harris had 15 assists, six kills and five digs as the Panthers swept the Thunderbirds, 25-8, 25-6, 25-22.

Allyse Frehner had 26 assists for the Panthers and Alyson Egbert had 11 kills. Karley Whipple added seven kills.

Calvary Chapel 2-2, Lincoln County 0-0 — At Calvary Chapel, the Lions swept two best-of-three matches from Lincoln County on Friday.

Calvary Chapel’s Lexi Davis had 29 assists between the two games. Olivia Kaiser accounted for 20 kills.

Needles 2-2, Lake Mead 1-1 — At Lake Mead, Needles outlasted the the Eagles in a pair of three-set affairs.

Laughlin 2-2, Mountain View 0-0 — At Laughlin, the Cougars swept two three-set matches from Mountain View.

Beatty 3, Round Mountain 0 — At Beatty, the Hornets defeated the Knights, 25-23, 25-11, 25-10.

Valhalla (Calif.) 3, Las Vegas 0 — At San Diego, the Norsemen were 25-17, 25-16, 25-7 winners over the Wildcats in the SoCal Invitational.

Village Christian (Calif.) 2, Boulder City 0 — At San Diego, the Knights swept the Eagles, 25-14, 25-17 in the SoCal Invitational.

Rancho Bernardo (Calif.) 2, Boulder City 0 — At San Diego, the Broncos downed the Eagles, 25-12, 25-15 in the SoCal Invitational.

Saint Lucy’s (Calif.) 3, Las Vegas 0 — At San Diego, the Regents swept the Wildcats, 25-13, 25-12, 25-20 in the SoCal Invitational.

Pacific Ridge (Calif.) 2, Boulder City 0 — At San Diego, the Firebirds defeated the Eagles, 25-17, 25-23 in the SoCal Invitational.
