GIRLS VOLLEYBALL: Green Valley’s Erin Hill earns 500th career win

Rachel Klopfer had 14 kills, two aces and nine digs Monday to lead Green Valley’s girls volleyball team to a 25-16, 25-15, 25-21 victory over host Centennial.

It was the 500th career win for Green Valley coach Erin Hill.

Abigail Olsen added four kills, 24 assists, two aces, nine digs and two blocks for the Gators, who also got 20 digs from Emily Flowers.

Siara Roberts led Centennial with two kills, 13 assists and nine digs. Danyale Berry had four kills, and Kaysha Clark added eight digs for the Bulldogs.

Desert Oasis 3, Durango 2 — At Durango, Casedy Field had 23 digs and four aces to lead the Diamondbacks over the Trailblazers, 25-22, 25-20, 16-25, 16-25, 15-7.

Emily Ragsdale had 15 kills and seven blocks to lead Desert Oasis. Kaaleya Price had nine kills, and Kaia Rhodes had six kills for the Diamondbacks, who also got 30 assists and 10 digs from Laityn Sarna.

Makenzi Abelman had 22 assists, 15 digs and six kills for the Trailblazers. Kaci Kedrowski had 14 digs, 10 kills and three aces, and Anuhea Faitau had 15 digs, five kills and three aces for Durango.

Bishop Gorman 3, Sierra Vista 0 — At Sierra Vista, Tommi Stockham and Kylie Gibson each had eight kills to lead the Gaels to a 25-11, 25-13, 25-17 sweep of the Mountain Lions.

Reese Rossnagel added four blocks for Gorman.

Bonanza 3, Clark 0 — At Bonanza, Sydney Dunn’s 31 assists and seven aces led the Bengals to victory over the Chargers, 25-8, 25-5, 25-11.

Taryn Warner had 10 kills, and Chianna Rodriguez added 16 digs for the Bengals.

Coronado 3, Boulder City 0 — At Coronado, Madison Karcich had eight kills, four aces, eight digs and two blocks to lead the Cougars to a 25-14, 25-12, 25-11 win over the Eagles.

Zoe Lier added 10 kills, two digs and two blocks, and Dallas Balanay-Flores notched 14 assists, five aces and three digs for Coronado.

Liberty 3, Las Vegas 0 — At Liberty, Alexandra Farnsworth’s 12 kills and 12 digs led the Patriots to a victory over the Wildcats, 25-22, 25-20, 26-24.

Tehani Tapuala had 16 assists, and Erika Martinez added 30 digs for the Patriots.

Nona-Rae Stewart dished out 14 assists and 13 digs for the Wildcats. Renice Sueno had nine kills, and Sabrina Saldate had three assists for Las Vegas.

Spring Valley 3, Del Sol 1 — At Del Sol, Danielle Amonica had nine kills, 19 assists and eight aces, and Alleana Thomson added four kills and six aces to lead the Grizzles by the Dragons, 25-8, 23-25, 25-21, 25-15.

Alexandra Lagunas had six aces, Vaden Mangler added nine kills, and Cashmere Buford notched 10 digs for the Grizzlies.

Genessa Galibut dished out 11 assists, and Nicki Zuniga added seven aces and four digs for Del Sol.

Tech 3, Cheyenne 2 — At Cheyenne, Kayla Cook’s 18 digs and three kills carried the Roadrunners 25-22, 25-23, 23-25, 18-25, 15-7 over the Desert Shields.

Cadie Espe had four kills and two digs for Tech, and Mariah Moses had eight kills and five digs. Makenna Faught added 10 digs and seven assists.

For Cheyenne, Jasmine Jaeger had 11 assists and two aces. Leerah Hunt had seven kills and three aces.
