Roundup: Alexandra Farnsworth, Liberty win five-set match over Rancho

Liberty’s Alexandra Farnsworth had 21 kills on Wednesday, and the Patriots’ girls volleyball team defeated host Rancho, 18-25, 25-22, 25-15, 15-25, 15-12.

Kayla Watanabe added 19 kills and 16 digs, and teammate Tehani Tapuala had 44 assists, three aces and 23 digs for Liberty.

Serica Valentine led Rancho with 13 kills. Kekai States added 26 assists and eight digs for the Rams, and teammate Mia Suzuki had 18 digs.

Green Valley 3, Basic 0 — At Basic, Abby Olsen had 16 assists and seven kills, and Lana Benson added six kills, five aces and two blocks to help the Gators sweep the Wolves, 25-14, 25-22, 25-16.

Kristine Davis had 15 digs, and Hailey McKinnis notched nine kills for Green Valley.

Crystal Jaramillo dished out 16 assists for Basic, which also got nine kills and five digs from Kiara Richardson and five kills, five digs and two blocks from Serenity Lomprey.

Las Vegas 3, Eldorado 0 — At Eldorado, Victoria Barney had 13 assists and seven aces, and Zoe Johnson tallied six kills and five aces as the Wildcats handled the Sundevils, 25-12, 25-6, 25-19.

Skyla Faught added eight kills for Las Vegas.

Jessica Olivero notched four assists, two aces and four digs, and Ashley Alonso had four kills and three digs for Eldorado, which also got two aces and two blocks from Angela Valdez.

Silverado 3, Canyon Springs 0 — At Canyon Springs, Brielen Aquino supplied 16 assists in the Skyhawks’ 25-11, 25-16, 25-21 win over the Pioneers.

Catherine Coty added 13 kills for Silverado.

Jeanette Fine led Canyon Springs with seven kills.

Foothill 3, Valley 0 — At Foothill, Alexis Taylor had 11 aces and five digs, and Shaye Lemke added 11 kills as the Falcons swept the Vikings, 25-7, 25-5, 25-12.

Whitley Brow had eight kills and three aces for Foothill.

Kiarra Brown led Valley with seven digs and three kills.

Mojave 3, Desert Pines 0 — At Mojave, Alexis Otto had 33 assists as the Rattlers rolled past the Jaguars, 25-12, 25-8, 25-15.

Sierra Orton added 13 kills, and Bethsy Carballo had four kills and six aces for Mojave.

Michelle Rhodes led Desert Pines with eight digs.

Cheyenne 3, Sunrise Mountain 0 — At Cheyenne, Tia Echols had seven kills to lead the Desert Shields to a 25-10, 25-19, 25-12 victory over the Miners.

Shaniya Mouton added five kills, and Eryuan McJoy had six aces for Cheyenne.

Destiny Chavez led Sunrise Mountain with nine digs.

Pahrump Valley 3, Western 0 — At Western, Jacquellen Stobbe had 12 assists and three aces, and Deanndra Shaw notched five kills to help the Trojans sweep the Warriors, 25-13, 25-8, 25-10.

Kylie Stritenberger added four kills for Pahrump Valley.

Myah Moore had seven assists, Milly Gonzalez served five aces, and Candace Carpenter supplied four kills for Western.
