Roundup: Aseret Geraldo’s passing leads Cheyenne past Mojave in five sets

Aseret Geraldo dished out 56 assists to lead Cheyenne’s girls volleyball team to a 23-25, 25-22, 28-26, 22-25, 15-13 road win over Mojave on Thursday evening.

Tia Echols put down 11 kills, and Lauryn Carlton had six aces and 11 digs for the Desert Shields.

Sierra Orton led Mojave with 11 kills. Savannah Blanchard-Davis added seven kills and three aces, and Alexis Otto had 33 assists for the Rattlers.

Silverado 3, Green Valley 1 — At Silverado, Sydney Berenyi had 31 kills and 16 digs to power the Skyhawks past the Gators, 20-25, 25-19, 25-14, 25-17.

Brielen Aquino had 41 assists, Catherine Coty had nine kills and five aces and Madison Carter had seven kills for Silverado.

Green Valley’s Abby Olsen had 23 assists and 16 digs. Kristine Davis had 16 digs, Lana Benson had 11 kills and three aces, and Jennifer Soha had six kills for the Gators.

Valley 3, Eldorado 1 — At Eldorado, Demari Sprinkle-Blakney had 11 aces and six kills to lift the Vikings over the Sundevils, 25-21, 25-15, 24-26, 25-17.

Kiarra Brown had 11 kills and five aces for the Vikings, and teammate Andrea Munguia had 34 assists and three aces.

Angela Valdez had four kills and four aces for the Sundevils, Ashley Alonso had 10 digs, three kills and two aces, Deanna Contreras had 11 digs, three kills and three aces, and Jessica Olivero added 11 digs for Eldorado.

Sunrise Mountain 3, Western 1 — At Western, Natalie Jaramillo had eight kills and one block as the Miners defeated the Warriors, 20-25, 25-18, 25-20, 25-15.

Julia Miles had seven kills, three aces, and three blocks, and Adareasheia Pinsly had five kills, four aces, and three digs for Sunrise Mountain.

Camille Riggs led Western with four kills and six aces, and teammate Myah Moore had 13 assists.

Liberty 3, Basic 0 — At Liberty, Sydney Tuioti-Mariner had 22 assists, 10 digs, and two aces to lead the Patriots to a shutout victory over the Wolves, 25-19, 26-24, 26-24.

Kayla Watanabe also had 13 kills and six digs for Liberty.

Basic’s Skylar Robbins had 21 assists, Kiara Richardson had 15 kills and 11 digs, and Keonna Richardson had nine kills.

Las Vegas 3, Canyon Springs 0 — At Canyon Springs, Brooklyn Stone had 22 assists and six aces to lead the Wildcats to a 25-20, 25-17, 25-15 win over the Pioneers.

Shaunie Magnum had five aces, and Kaitlyn Horstdaniel had seven kills and one assist for Las Vegas.

Jeanette Fine had four kills and two aces, and Ke’Ajanae Haley had three kills and two blocks for Canyon Springs.

Coronado 3, Desert Oasis 0 — At Coronado, Madison Karcich had 13 kills, four aces and three digs, and Ashlynn Ammerman added two kills, four aces, three digs and three blocks to lead the Cougars to a 25-15, 25-11, 25-16 sweep of the Diamondbacks.

Sasha Bolla had five kills and one block, and Dallas Balanay-Flores notched 19 assists and three digs for Coronado.

Durango 3, Sierra Vista 0 — At Durango, Naomi Harris had 13 kills and 10 digs as the Trailblazers swept the Mountain Lions, 25-11, 25-17, 25-14.

Anuhea Faitau had 24 assists and nine digs, and Sierra Leone Sanchez had 12 digs for Durango.

Somerset-Losee 3, Innovations International 1 — At Somerset-Losee, Sabrina Wright had four kills, 17 assists and 16 aces to lead the Lions to a 25-14, 23-25, 25-15, 25-10 win over the Ambassadors.

Myri Au Young-Uwaine added four kills, 11 aces and two digs, and Victoria Thompson had seven kills and three aces for Somerset-Losee.

Liberty Baptist 3, Sandy Valley 0 — At Sandy Valley, Jade Halverson had eight kills, 15 assists, eight aces and one block in the Knights’ 25-23, 25-19, 25-23 win over the Sidewinders.

Kelsey Guardiola added eight kills, four aces and nine digs, and Kiley Guardiola notched four kills and 25 digs for Liberty Baptist.

Beaver Dam 3, GV Christian 2 — At Beaver Dam, the Diamondbacks defeated the Guardians, 19-25, 25-27, 25-22, 25-22, 11-15.

Abigail Johnson had 11 kills, three aces, and five digs to lead GV Christian. Sofia Gil had 22 assists and three aces, and Hope Watson had 15 digs, nine kills, and five aces for the Guardians.

Calvary Chapel 3, Lake Mead 1 — At Calvary Chapel, the Lions defeated the Eagles, 25-12, 25-23, 18-25, 25-15.

Lincoln County 2-2, Laughlin 0-0 — At Panaca, the Lynx swept the doubleheader.
