Roundup: Camille Riggs leads Western to win over Sunrise Mountain

Camille Riggs had nine kills on Monday to lead the Western girls volleyball team to a 25-18, 20-25, 25-15, 15-25, 15-13 victory over host Sunrise Mountain.

Andriana Jones had eight kills, and Destiny Dobiesz dished out 19 assists for the Warriors.

Destiny Favela served six aces to lead the Miners.

Jamile Cano had four kills, and Destiny Chavez served four aces for Sunrise Mountain.

Canyon Springs 3, Eldorado 1 — At Canyon Springs, Ke’Aganae Haley had eight kills and two aces to lead the Pioneers to a 25-17, 20-25, 25-20, 25-21 victory over the Sundevils.

Jeanette Fine added three kills and four aces, and J’Nasia Spand had two kills and four aces for Canyon Springs.

Ashley Alonso, Angela Valdez and Paige Darrington each had four kills for Eldorado.

Green Valley 3, Foothill 1 — At Green Valley, Abby Olsen had 37 assists as the Gators defeated the Falcons, 25-10, 25-20, 18-25, 25-18.

Green Valley’s Deijah Spaight had 14 kills, four aces and seven digs, Lana Benson had 10 kills, and Jennifer Soha had five kills and four blocks.

Foothill’s Whitley Brow had 12 kills and 12 digs, and Shaye Lemke had 12 kills and three digs.

Pahrump Valley 3, Desert Pines 0 — At Pahrump, Jacquellen Stobbe had 14 aces and 16 assists to lead the Trojans past the Jaguars, 25-11, 25-18, 25-11.

Kylie Stritenberger had 13 kills, Elaina Dattillio had six kills, and Kathryn Daffer had five kills for Pahrump.

Arlyn Figueroa and Brianna Fitzgerald each had five blocks to lead Desert Pines.

Michelle Rhodes had seven digs for the Jaguars.

Coronado 3, Las Vegas 0 — At Las Vegas High, Cassandra Smits-Van Oyen had 35 assists, three aces, and nine digs as the Cougars cruised to the win over the Wildcats, 25-7, 25-13, 25-10.

Kennedi Steele and Sasha Bolla each had six kills, and Madison Karcich had six kills and two aces for Coronado.

Las Vegas’ Marleahjoeline Hundley had 11 digs, Brooklyn Stone had 10 assists and five digs, and Victoria Barney had nine digs.

Silverado 3, Rancho 0 — At Silverado, Sydney Berenyi had 18 kills to lead the Skyhawks to a victory over the Rams, 25-13, 25-15, 25-16.

Silverado’s Catherine Coty also had nine kills, and teammate Kaylynn Smith had seven aces.

Rancho’s Mia Suzuki had 19 digs.

Liberty 3, Valley 0 — At Liberty, Tehani Tapuala had 11 assists, three aces and four digs as the Patriots defeated the Vikings, 25-8, 25-11, 25-11.

Liberty’s Alexandra Farnsworth had seven kills and four aces, and teammate Lindsay DuVall had two aces and five digs.

Valley’s Andrea Munguia had seven digs, Debra Schuster had four digs, and Kiarra Brown had three kills.

Cheyenne 3, Mojave 0 — At Cheyenne, Leerah Hunt had nine kills to lead the Desert Shields to a sweep of the Rattlers, 25-22, 25-23, 26-24.

Ny’Allia Johnson had seven kills, and Eryuan McJoy served up four aces for the Desert Shields.

Sierra Orton had 10 kills, and Alexis Otto dished out 31 assists for the Rattlers.
