ROUNDUP: Chaparral girls volleyball fends off Tech
Breanna Gianopoulos had 13 kills Tuesday as Chaparral’s girls volleyball team defeated host Tech, 25-16, 25-12, 23-25, 26-24.
Jeniece Morgan added 11 kills for the Cowboys.
Destanae Davis led Tech with six kills.
Valley 3, Foothill 0 — At Valley, Maureen Aquino had nine kills, seven digs and three aces to lead the Vikings over the Falcons, 26-24, 25-15, 25-23.
Lenore Porter had 17 assists, four aces and two kills, and Shanah Frankel had 16 digs for Valley.
Christina Nash had 16 assists to lead Foothill. Rhianna Gelhart added six kills and two blocks for the Falcons.
Durango 3, Rancho 1 — At Rancho, Sarah Tullis recorded 25 assists as the Trailblazers beat the Rams, 25-12. 24-26, 25-21, 25-19.
Borjana Djukic had 14 digs and Cherelle Hicks 12 kills for Durango.
Sierra Vista 3, Shadow Ridge 0 — At Sierra Vista, Kayla Forte had 19 digs to lead the Mountain Lions to a 25-13, 25-22, 25-12 win over the Mustangs.
Brooke Robinson had seven kills and Johnnie Pride six kills for Sierra Vista.
Coronado 3, Eldorado 0 — At Coronado, Katie Gamsky had 19 assists, and Kristen Herlosky added 11 kills to help the Cougars beat the Sundevils, 25-10, 25-14, 25-11.
Ally Davis had nine aces for Coronado.
Marissa Mousseau led Eldorado with 12 assists.
Silverado 3, Bishop Gorman 0 — At Silverado, the Skyhawks downed the Gaels, 25-15, 25-15, 25-15.
Brooke McKenna had 12 digs for the Gaels. Liz Manthei added 10 kills and Kylie Shaw seven for Gorman.
Basic 3, Canyon Springs 0 — At Basic, Mikayla Brown had nine kills, three blocks and three aces to help the Wolves to a 25-17, 25-11, 25-20 win over the Pioneers.
Tara Patchett had seven kills and five aces for the Wolves.
Del Sol 3, Desert Pines 0 — At Desert Pines, Lyndee Rivera had 17 assists and 11 aces, and Natalie Korzenowski tallied nine kills as the Dragons downed the Jaguars, 25-13, 25-3, 25-11.
Kaleileihua Cabanas added five aces for Del Sol.
Bonanza 3, Legacy 0 — At Bonanza, the host Bengals beat the Longhorns, 25-15, 25-22, 25-16.
Kayla Murray had five kills and five blocks for the Longhorns.
Boulder City 3, Western 0 — At Western, the Eagles swept the Warriors, 25-9, 25-12, 25-15.
Virgin Valley 3, Mountain View 0 — At Mountain View, the Bulldogs topped the Saints, 25-13, 26-24, 25-11.
Charde Page led Mountain View with three kills, five blocks and four digs.
Pahranagat Valley 3, Moapa Valley 0 — At Overton, the Panthers earned a 25-22, 25-14, 25-20 road win over the Pirates.
Calvary Chapel 3, Henderson International 0 — At Calvary Chapel, Brettani Davis had 17 digs, and Bri Ridely had 13 kills to lead the Lions to a 25-19, 25-22, 25-19 victory over Henderson International.
Laura Perri added 16 assists and Eboni Brown eight kills for Calvary Chapel.
