Roundup: Coronado rallies to defeat Centennial

Sasha Bolla had 17 kills and three digs on Thursday as Coronado’s girls volleyball team rallied for a 25-16, 22-25, 23-25, 25-14, 15-8 home victory over Centennial.

Madison Karcich and Shannon Evans each added 12 kills, and Dallas Balanay-Flores had 22 assists, seven digs and three aces for the Cougars.

Karcich had 15 digs, and Evans had seven digs and two blocks.

Natalie Starlin led the Bulldogs with 15 kills, 14 digs and three aces. Siara Roberts added 33 assists, 10 digs and three kills, and Anyese James-Kirkland had seven kills, four digs and two blocks for Centennial.

Chaparral 3, Sunrise Mountain 1 — At Chaparral, Malany Richo had 12 assists to lead the Cowboys to a 25-20, 17-25, 25-12, 25-22 victory over the Miners.

Latyra Freeney had six kills, and Nya McGaughey tallied five aces for the Cowboys.

Daniela Robledo-Toribio supplied five aces and five digs to lead the Miners.

Destiny Favela had seven aces, and teammate Natalie Jaramillo added five kills for Sunrise Mountain.

Valley 3, Western 1 — At Western, Andrea Munguia had 24 assists and six aces in the Vikings’ 25-23, 18-25, 25-17, 25-9 win over the Warriors.

Demari Sprinkle-Blakney supplied 11 aces, and teammate Krystal Carter added eight kills for Valley.

Myah Moore had 10 assists, and Camille Riggs notched seven kills to pace Western.

Moapa Valley 3, Pahranagat Valley 1 — At Overton, Eden Whitmore had 18 kills to lead the Pirates past the Panthers, 25-13, 18-25, 25-19, 25-13.

Shelbi Walker had seven kills, and Shyanne Matheson had three aces and two blocks for the Pirates.

Aria Messer had three aces and 32 assists for Moapa Valley.

Green Valley 3, Desert Oasis 0 — At Green Valley, Lana Benson had 13 kills to lead the Gators to a sweep of the Diamondbacks, 25-14, 25-15, 25-15.

Carolynn Fedarko had 12 digs, and Abby Olsen had four aces and 24 assists for Green Valley.

Sophia Parlanti had seven kills and five digs to lead the Diamondbacks. Laityn Sarna had two aces and 12 assists for Desert Oasis.

Rancho 3, Bonanza 0 — At Rancho, Angelyne Berkedal had five kills, six aces and five digs to lead the Rams to a 25-19, 25-18, 25-21 victory over the Bengals.

Kekai States added 12 assists and six digs, and teammate Mia Suzuki had nine digs and three aces for Rancho.

Jaelyn Scott led Bonanza with seven kills. Sydney Dunn had 16 assists, seven digs and two blocks for the Bengals, who got 13 digs from Sydney Evelyn Harner.

Legacy 3, Liberty 0 — At Legacy, Jazmyne Walker had 16 kills and 11 digs to power the Longhorns past the Patriots.

Myah Maxwell added 14 kills and seven digs, and Kiana Carter had six kills and 17 digs for Legacy.

Kamaile Mendonsa added 33 assists for the Longhorns.

Alexandra Farnsworth led Liberty with 14 kills and three digs. Sydnei Tuioti-Mariner added 11 assists, seven digs and two aces, and teammate Lindsay DuVall had 16 digs for the Patriots.

Word of Life 3, Round Mountain 1 — At Round Mountain, Arieyanna Banks had six kills and four aces to lead the Eagles to a 25-21, 25-15, 22-25, 25-20 victory over the Knights.

Alissa Chavez added 16 digs for Word of Life.

Brianne Davis led Round Mountain with four aces and 11 digs. Brooke Christensen added six aces, and Lexus Boerst had 11 digs for the Knights.

Canyon Springs 3, Desert Pines 1 — At Canyon Springs, the Pioneers defeated the Jaguars, 25-19, 25-18, 22-25, 25-20.
