Roundup: Desert Oasis gets by Liberty in five sets

Kierston-Joy Kuresa had nine kills, two aces and 20 digs to propel Desert Oasis’ girls volleyball team to a 25-22, 25-21, 24-26, 23-25, 15-5 home win over Liberty on Thursday night.

Paige Parlanti had 21 kills and 13 digs, and Sophia Parlanti added 14 kills, 12 digs and three blocks for the Diamondbacks.

Brooklyn Slater had 10 kills for Liberty, and Leahi Sefo had eight kills and five aces for the Patriots.

Green Valley 3, Sierra Vista 2 — At Green Valley, Deijah Spaight had 12 kills and 13 digs to lead the Gators past the Mountain Lions, 21-25, 25-14, 20-25, 25-19, 15-8.

Breanna Onori added 20 assists and 11 digs, and Jade Lawrence had 16 digs for Green Valley.

Leilani Vitale had 11 kills, four blocks and three aces to lead Sierra Vista. Peyton Castillo had six kills, 15 assists and two blocks for the Mountain Lions.

The Meadows 3, Cimarron-Memorial 2 — At The Meadows, Dani Mason had 24 kills, four aces, 25 digs and two blocks en route to a 25-19, 25-19, 26-28, 22-25, 15-11 home win over the Spartans.

Anna Dorn had nine kills and 27 digs, and Vivian Pallares added five kills, one ace and 19 digs for The Meadows.

Durango 3, Tech 0 — At Tech, Sophia Dominguez tallied 16 kills and six aces in the Trailblazers’ 25-13, 25-18, 25-19 sweep of the Roadrunners.

Shakayla Scarbrough added 12 kills for Durango.

Kaitlyn Harvey had eight digs to lead Tech.

Canyon Springs 3, Eldorado 0 — At Eldorado, Tyra Caliva had 18 assists to lead the Pioneers past the Sundevils, 25-10, 25-22, 25-20.

Ja’Nasia Spand had 10 kills and six digs, and Jeanette Fine supplied seven digs and five kills for Canyon Springs.

Amber Castro had 18 assists, and Amaya Alikins tallied six digs, four aces and four kills for Eldorado, which got nine digs from Deanna Contreras.

Coronado 3, Basic 0 — At Basic, Dallas Balanay-Flores had 25 assists and two aces for the Cougars in a 25-19, 25-23, 25-7 win over the Wolves.

Sasha Bolla added 16 kills, three aces and nine digs for Coronado.

Crystal Jaramillo had 15 digs for Basic, and teammate Angelina Dean had seven kills.

Del Sol 3, Somerset-Losee 2 — At Del Sol, Genessa Galibut had 20 assists, seven kills, five aces and 10 digs to power the Dragons to a 25-14, 25-13, 18-25, 17-25, 15-3 victory over the Lions.

Riley Jenkins added nine kills and five blocks, and Cindy Garcia had seven aces and 25 digs for Del Sol.

Julie Robles added six kills, four aces and 25 digs for the Dragons.

Foothill 3, Spring Valley 0 — At Spring Valley, Laynee Truscott dished out 31 assists in the Falcons’ 25-8, 25-2, 25-10 sweep of the Grizzlies.

Riana Blount had 14 kills, five blocks and four digs, and Ava Hurry supplied seven kills, four digs and four blocks for Foothill.

Taylor Blair added seven kills and four blocks for the Falcons.

Moapa Valley 3, Chaparral 0 — At Moapa Valley, Abbie Evans had 10 kills and five aces to lead the Pirates past the Cowboys, 25-16, 25-7, 25-4.

Emma Peay had eight kills and three aces, and Andalin Hilstead added 20 assists and had three aces.

Mojave 3, Western 0 — At Western, Vany Carballo had six aces and 11 digs to lead the Rattlers past the Warriors, 25-17, 25-12, 25-19.

Aqeelah Muhammad had four kills and 26 assists, and Danika McCarty had three kills for Mojave.

Camille Riggs had six kills and 28 digs to lead Western.

Adrianna Jones had six kills, Liteanna Moeaki had five assists and three aces, and Destiny Dobiesz had five assists for the Warriors.

Pahrump Valley 3, Valley 0 — At Valley, Kathryn Daffer had six kills and three blocks to lead the Trojans past the Vikings, 25-12, 25-6, 25-10.

Virginia Weir served up four aces, and Jacquellen Stobbe had six assists for the Trojans.

Demari Sprinkle-Blakney had five kills and two blocks for Valley. Krystal Carter had four digs, and Frida Ochoa-Uribe had five digs for the Vikings.

Sky Pointe 3, Sunrise Mountain 0 — At Sunrise Mountain, Jayden Sanders had 11 kills to lead the Eagles in a sweep of the Miners, 25-11, 25-11, 25-14.

Jocelyn Sanders added six kills, Kylie Poulsen had five kills, and Katie Piet had 14 digs for Sky Pointe.

Addie Tinsley had two kills for Sunrise Mountain.

Lake Mead 2-2, Mountain View 0-0 — At Lake Mead, the Eagles swept the Saints twice.

Lake Mead took the first match 25-4, 25-6 and won the second 25-9, 25-8.
