ROUNDUP: Durango girls outlast Spring Valley

Cheyanne Haas had 10 kills and five blocks, and Hailee Wilson added 10 kills, 15 digs and three aces Friday as Durango’s girls volleyball team outlasted host Spring Valley, 23-25, 25-15, 25-20, 12-25, 16-14.

Precious Williams supplied 10 kills, and Carly Taylor distributed 31 assists for the Trailblazers.

Jessica Rafay paced the Grizzlies with 13 assists, six kills, eight digs and five blocks. Rachel Milan had 26 digs and nine kills, and Casey Vanhoose added 26 digs and eight kills for Spring Valley, which got nine kills, six blocks and three assists from Nicole Rafay. Hannah Karas contributed 35 digs for Spring Valley.

Pahrump Valley 3, Clark 2 — At Clark, Payton Hart tallied seven kills, and Makayla Davis had nine blocks to help the Trojans outlast the Chargers, 25-22, 25-19, 20-25, 17-25, 15-9.

Bryanna Soliwoda added 10 assists for the Trojans.

Emi Afanoa had 16 kills and three blocks, and Claire Law recorded 31 assists for Clark. June Roberts added six kills and four assists, and Ashley Ng posted eight kills for the Chargers.

Shadow Ridge 3, Sierra Vista 1 — At Sierra Vista, Taylor Spencer had 27 assists and four aces, and Niehely Sosa supplied 14 kills as the Mustangs posted a 25-14, 31-29, 25-21, 25-14 victory over the Mountain Lions.

Ashley Smith added six kills and five assists for the Mustangs.

Steffany Diaz-Parra recorded 10 digs, and Bailey Bergquist notched seven kills for Sierra Vista.

Centennial 3, Bonanza 1 — At Bonanza, Cristina Owens had 13 kills, and Kristi Farley registered 29 assists and nine kills to lead the Bulldogs to a 25-20, 14-25, 26-24, 25-16 victory over the Bengals.

Tiana Bonds added eight kills and two aces, and Madison Harper had 10 digs for Centennial.

Vasati Fiatoa and Rykki Rudd each tallied eight kills for Bonanza.

Cheyenne 3, Western 1 — At Western, Jenna Mecham had six kills, six blocks and three aces to help the Desert Shields top the Warriors.

Jasmine Spurlock had two kills, four aces and eight assists for Cheyenne.

Yatzi Carranza led Western with five kills and six aces. Teneya Williams supplied three kills and three aces for the Warriors.

Las Vegas 3, Valley 0 — At Valley, Marissa Lair had 10 kills and nine digs to lead the Wildcats to a 25-15, 25-11, 25-17 sweep of the Vikings.

Haley Lockley had 20 assists and three aces for Las Vegas, and teammate Cierra Turner tallied four aces and eight digs.

Chantelle Rigby had six kills and two digs, and Taylor Sandhu had 12 assists and two digs for Valley.
Corinne Burton had three kills and three digs, and Diva Carter supplied two kills and seven digs for the Vikings.

Silverado 3, Canyon Springs 0 — At Canyon Springs, Kayla Agae had nine kills and seven assists to lead the Skyhawks in a 25-9, 25-15, 25-21 sweep of the Pioneers.

Amari Norris contributed four kills and four blocks, Cheyanne Phillips added six kills and Morgan Little had 20 assists for Silverado.

Natasha Montano had five assists, Sydney Morris tallied three aces and Emily Tuala added eight digs for Canyon Springs.

Palo Verde 3, Arbor View 0 — At Arbor View, Stephanie Herman tallied 25 assists, 10 digs and seven aces as Palo Verde swept the Aggies, 25-13, 25-16, 25-9.

Kendall Cheval added 13 kills and eight digs, and Faryn Duncan contributed 12 digs for the Panthers.

Kayla Papuga had five kills and five digs, and Chrissy Blazek added seven digs for Arbor View. Sam Bales had four kills and two aces for the Aggies.

Green Valley 3, Rancho 0 — At Green Valley, Carly Schiess had 13 kills and two blocks as the Gators rolled to a 25-10, 25-10, 25-8 sweep of the Rams.

Nikki Drost had nine kills and Shanna Olsen added seven kills for Green Valley, which got 21 assists and four aces from Jenna Swaffer.

Kayla Coles had three kills for Rancho, and Danielle Carino had three digs.

Faith Lutheran 3, Mojave 0 — At Faith Lutheran, Courtney Hansen had seven kills, and Taylor Hammer added six kills to lead the Crusaders to a 25-4, 25-5, 25-12 sweep of the Rattlers.

Morgan Hill served eight aces, and Lindsey Flangas had four aces for Faith Lutheran. Gianni Perryman dished out 12 assists, and Megan Panikkar distributed 11 assists for the Crusaders.

Ashley Persico had four digs, and Leilani Limtiaco three digs for Rancho.

Lake Mead 3, Laughlin 0 — At Laughlin, Taylor Vetter registered 11 kills, two aces and two digs, and Megan Watkins had 17 assists, eight aces and four digs in the Eagles’ 25-4, 25-11, 25-11 win over the Cougars.

Jenette Hensley had six assists and seven digs, and Taylor Badua-Kono had 12 digs for Lake Mead.

Lincoln County 2-2, Needles 0-0 — At Panaca, Britten Hafen had seven assists and two kills in the opener, and eight assists and three aces in the nightcap of the Lynx’s 25-11, 25-16 and 25-9, 25-14 sweep of the Mustangs.

In the opener, Kayla Teel had four digs and three kills, and Bailey Free dished out six assists for Lincoln County, which got three kills from Kayla Mathews.

In the second match, Elle Scott had five kills and four digs, and Free distributed seven assists for the Lynx, who got four kills from Mathews.

The Meadows 2-0, Calvary Chapel 0-2 — At The Meadows, the Mustangs beat the Lions 25-18, 25-22 in the first match before the Lions claimed the second, 25-12, 25-23.

Alex Hall had seven kills, 19 digs and one ace to lead The Meadows in the first match, and Lena Schulhofer had 13 assists and three aces for the Mustangs.

Deja Harris led Calvary Chapel with eight kills, five digs and two blocks.

In the second match, Brooke Davis led Calvary Chapel with two kills, five aces, 12 assists and 11 digs. Deja Harris had 14 kills and four digs for the Lions.

Hall paced The Meadows with five kills, two aces, 11 digs and two blocks, and Nikki Lenardson added three kills, three aces and three blocks for the Mustangs.

Tonopah 3, Beatty 0 — At Tonopah, Alli Friel had two kills, two aces, six assists and three digs to lead the Muckers to a 25-11, 25-14, 25-15 sweep of the Hornets.

Sydney Maughan had six kills, five digs and four aces for Tonopah, and teammate Deanna VanPoucke supplied four kills and three digs.

Mountain View 2-2, Agassi Prep 0-0 — At Agassi Prep, the Saints swept the Stars by scores of 25-15, 25-10, and 25-16, 25-16.

Adelson School 3, Round Mountain 2 — At Round Mountain, the Lions rallied for an 18-25, 25-21, 21-25, 25-23, 15-5 win over the Knights.
