Roundup: Durango knocks off Legacy in four sets

Naomi Harris had 16 kills and eight digs to lead Durango’s girls volleyball team to a 25-21, 13-25, 25-19, 25-15 win at Legacy on Wednesday.

Jaquelyn Robinson added eight kills and four aces, and Tehani Faitau notched 25 assists, five aces and nine digs for the Trailblazers.

Jazmyn Walker had 15 kills and 14 digs, and Kiana Carter had 11 kills and 14 digs for Legacy, which also got contributions from Myah Maxwell (11 kills, 12 digs) and Kamaile Mendonsa (38 assists, 10 digs) and Alyssa Fuller (27 digs).

Bishop Gorman 3, Desert Oasis 0 — At Gorman, Sarah Lychock had seven aces and five digs, and Tommi Stockham added six aces and five kills as the Gaels swept the Diamondbacks, 25-9, 25-15, 25-11.

Sydney Lobato dished out 12 assists, Angelina Starck had seven kills and two blocks, and Alexandra Washington supplied three kills and two blocks for Gorman.

Palo Verde 3, Cimarron-Memorial 0 — At Cimarron, Arien Fafard had 22 assists and five kills in the Panthers’ 25-9, 25-16, 25-17 sweep of the Spartans.

Carli Tanner had nine digs and eight kills, and teammate Aaliah Largusa added seven digs and six kills for Palo Verde, which also got 14 digs from Mia Sadler.

Natasha Obradovic had nine kills, and Alexandrea Payan tallied eight digs to pace Cimarron.

Shadow Ridge 3, Bonanza 0 — At Bonanza, Autumn Spendlove recorded 15 assists, five digs and two aces, and Alysha Smith dished out 19 assists as the Mustangs swept the Bengals, 25-22, 25-15, 25-11.

Natalie Nihipali supplied seven kills and two blocks for Shadow Ridge.

Sydney Dunn led Bonanza with nine assists and six digs.

Faith Lutheran 3, Spring Valley 0 — At Spring Valley, Sydney Washington had nine kills, Alexi Johnson had 16 digs and the Crusaders waltzed to a 25-17, 25-13, 25-8 win over the Grizzlies

Mary Vancura added 21 assists for Faith Lutheran, and Kyrie Lorfing had four aces.

Cashmere Buford led Spring Valley with 20 digs. Emma Lily Marple had 12 assists, and Vaden Mangler notched five kills for the Grizzlies.

Centennial 3, Arbor View 0 — At Arbor View, Emily Anderson had 16 kills and 14 digs, and Natalie Starlin added nine kills and 12 digs in the Bulldogs’ 25-21, 25-15, 25-19 win over the Aggies.

Siara Roberts had 32 assists, and Faith Torosian notched five kills for Centennial.

Makayla Snyder had seven kills and two aces to lead Arbor View. Bailey Olbur added two kills and four blocks, and Kyndall Mitchell had 11 assists and one block for the Aggies.

Sierra Vista 3, Clark 0 — At Clark, Zoey Kriethe supplied 19 assists and 11 aces in the Mountain Lions’ 25-8, 25-7, 25-10 sweep of the Chargers.

Darlenny Pena added six aces for Sierra Vista.

Mia Rodas had three digs for Clark.

Tech 3, Somerset-Sky Pointe 0 — At Somerset-Sky Pointe, Makenna Faught had 20 assists and four digs, and Fuatino Aima’asu added 14 kills in the Roadrunners’ 25-21, 25-20, 25-19 sweep of the Eagles.

Cadie Espe had five kills, one ace and eight digs, and Kayla Coop had four kills and six digs for Tech.

Katie Piet led Somerset-Sky Pointe with 10 kills, and teammate Emily Lemmon had 21 digs.

Moapa Valley 3, Boulder City 1 — At Boulder City, Eden Whitmore had 20 kills as the Pirates defeated the Eagles, 25-23, 24-26, 25-20, 25-14.

Shelbi Walker added 10 kills, and Dannika Gordon had nine kills and three aces for Moapa Valley.

Aria Messer had six kills, 39 assists and two aces for the Pirates, who got 18 digs from Kessa Evans.
